All of these words represent what Diane Davi meant to me as a Real Estate Agent.
I feel blessed my real estate agents from Eugene interviewed and recommended her to me as I began my search for a home in Seattle.
My property search situation was unique. After much soul searching, I made the decision to move my life from Oregon to Seattle. Where I lived in Oregon was just not the right fit. But in order to pull off this significant life change at this time in my life, I needed an agent who LISTENDED POWERFULLY and deeply, who took the time to understand my situation, who comprehended my goals.
I am a very precise person. I am a very plan-oriented person. I am a very goal-centric person. I had a VISION and a PLAN for how this transition to Seattle would work. But without an agent who took the time to truly comprehend that vision and help me, as a PARTNER, to work through it to fruition, this move to Seattle would not have been possible.
Diane IS that agent.
From the first conversation that we had, she listened to the various moving parts in my life: about how I had to rent out my duplex in Eugene before moving to Seattle, about how I would continue working as a Fire Fighter in Eugene while living in Seattle, about how I needed to buy an income producing property in Seattle in order to afford the mortgage. How I would have limited time to view properties in Seattle because my life was currently in Eugene.
Diane spent over an hour with me on the phone listening to all of these moving parts. In her mind, she rapidly synthesized all of this information. And then she created THE PERFECT PLAN to achieve my goals.
From the day we spent looking at properties in Seattle--ones she carefully hand-picked to expose me to various areas of the city--to the re-assurance she provided to me over the phone during weekends and odd hours, working with my schedule
From the calm aplomb she demonstrated when I realized that we were initially looking at too high a price point, and the way that she scaled back our search without losing out on quality, without giving up on my needs in a property; to the way she negotiated during the offer process obtaining a purchase price that was well over $75,000 less than the asking price
She was BRILLIANT, supportive, WONDERFUL as my agent.
And I'm confident that she is that way for her other clients as well.
I almost cried from sheer joy and exhaustion when we closed on my quirky duplex in West Seattle. Like me and like my situation, it was quirky--PERFECT, just PERFECT for me. It literally met all of the objectives that I had discussed with Diane from that initial conversation.
I drove the day after closing from Eugene to Seattle to "camp out" with a sleeping bag and pillow in my new home in the Emerald City.
I would not arrive until 3 in the morning. The drive was exhausting. But it was worth it to me to have this dream now coming to fruition.
And Diane asked me a question early in my drive: "Congratulations, Chris. I'm excited for your new life here in Seattle. Is there anything I can leave for you at your new place to make your first night easier?"
I asked Diane for only 2 things. Some Reese's peanut butter cups and some soda water.
When I arrived, I opened the door to my unit with the panoramic view of the city. And I looked at the kitchen counter. My heart filled with joy, overwhelm and pure HAPPINESS.
Diane, in her beautifully intuitive, supportive way, had left me the perfect spread for my new life:
Carabiners--because I'm a Fire Fighter on my Department's rescue team, and I need to do some work on the property that will involve climbing.
Coffee Mug in Seahawks colors--large enough for my favorite coffee drink, which Diane had memorized
A Motivational Candle--calling me a "Bad Ass Homeowner" because I would like to fancy myself that way with the blood, sweat and tears I put in to make this dream happen
Cat Toys--For my two little kitties, who I told Diane had to be in a "safe, quiet neighborhood," so they could go on outdoor adventures
An Owl Cookie Jar and matching Owl Salt and Pepper Shakers--something personal between me and Diane, but it showed her commendable attention to detail and FOLLOW THROUGH so uncommon in today's world
And yes. . . Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Soda Water (and some other delicious goodies, too)
Diane was, and is, a blessing in my life.
And I could not more highly recommend her as an agent.
