Working with Aaron Janus was by far the highlight of our 14-month marathon search for our first home in Seattle. The reason I decided to call Aaron for help finding our home was based on all of the great reviews I read about him and his staff. What you see in the reviews is absolutely true and accurate (unless they're negative, then I have to disagree with those). Okay, I'm writing this review about a year and a half since we bought our house with Aaron as our realtor. Being our first home purchase, it was an unknown and slightly stressful situation. I'm now writing this review as a Realtor myself...but when Aaron worked with me, I was just someone who had a passing interest in Real Estate. As I worked through my licensing requirements, I just realized more and more how much Aaron did for me. I first worked with Aaron as buyer. Even though I know he had numerous other clients, I felt as though I was the only one when he was working with me. He would spend hours with me, and then when I found the perfect house, he helped me navigate the complicated short sale process. Despite having a rather incompetent mortgage broker (that I chose on my own...I really wish I would have gone with Aaron's referral instead of someone I randomly heard about), he helped us close on time and got us a great deal in a great area. I employed Aaron's services again to sell the same house. He navigated some pretty difficult family issues in my personal life (a divorce), and did twice the work by dealing with myself and my ex-wife and explaining things twice and making sure we got all the information we needed while we were dealing with other painful issues. I knew that this issue was being handled by an incredibly competent professional, so I could focus on other issues. He helped us get through three offers that fell through, and still went out and marketed the hell out of our property. I called JanusGroup in February of 2015 and was pleasantly surprised to hear the man on the end of the line was beyond enthusiastic. I was referred to Aaron by my co-worker...who happens to be his wife ;) From the first time we met Aaron, he put us at ease with this humor, honesty and knowledge of the Seattle market and the houses we were looking at. I recently inherited the task of selling a home in Seattle that belonged to a family member who passed away. I live in Arizona and was concerned about handling a transaction long distance. What is a good broker and how do you find one, he is my take on both these questions. When we decided to sell our house we started the process like most people would, that is to find a Broker. We contacted a few places and then set aside the time needed to meet with those who responded, we were not even sure what questions to ask so we started from scratch. After a few interviews, I decided that Aaron Janus seemed like someone that had the right stuff, first, he was friendly, patient to all my good questions and I am sure some not so bright questions. I ask for him to return so my wife can also meet him and together we would pick his brain so to speak. When he did return he provided us with a booklet that outlined his business model.In it there was his personal experience, his companies background and an outline of the various types of planes that can be used to maximize our sale potential. This was a very well put together booklet with clear ideas, loaded with helpful information. Oh!! my wife also found Aaron the type of person one would want to do business with. We felt at ease with this choice. Aaron from the very start seemed to know how this transaction would work out, he has an understanding of the process that was so on the money that he seemed to be able to give a timeline down to the minute and let me say, it worked out just as he said it would time wise. He was able to save us money through his extraordinary knowledge of his art.
