This is among the most infuriating buildings in Dublin, though chances are you'll never be inside…read moreit. No, you'll be sitting in the bus parked outside the EverReady garage. It's a sort of limbo lottery as the drivers switch, sometimes it's immediate. Sometimes you have to wait for them to have a chat, a smoke, realize that the wrong guy is there, wait for the right guy to finish his tea back at the depot AND THEN wait for the three of them to have a chat, a laugh and another smoke about it. And all this before delivering you to work late and with a story nobody ever seems to believe. Though the service is improving I have been sat here for over half an hour before.

This is the bus service that I used to get to school as a child so I have fond memories. The bus drivers are great although I did experience a change over that was not timed as it should be but it is still an experience. Listening to people talk on their mobile phone is amazing it is though people don't realise other people can hear the conversation....yes I do listen. I had the fastest trip back from Dublin once it only took 30mins when normally it takes 45mins! The downside is that you cannot get change and I don't understand why - the number of times I have not got the right money and I am sure the driver would not appreciate writing a credit for 30c! The buses are mostly clean and you do meet the nicest people who are happy to chat - ok I am happy to listen to them chatting - apart from the one lady who gave me a lecture for being a smoker. I love the 46a

Dublin's Luas (Gaelic for "Speed") is just as good as any mass transportation network there is. The trams are clean, modern, efficient and speedy. The stops seem to be more targeted for the locals than the tourists but they work fine. Ticket kiosks are easy to understand and if you purchase and put value on a Leap card, you'll save a bunch and not have to be concerned with tickets. Just tap and go plus they work on the buses. I've not been asked to verify my ticket. I am sure that they do check them, but I've not seen it happen. The Green Line (of course it's green - this is Ireland!) opened in 2004 and with the addition of the Red Line a few years later, there are now 67 stations and enough miles of track to host a marathon. With stations across the city, the Red and Green lines get you just about anywhere except the airport. For that, you need a bus. Like lots of cities, Dublin's International Airport is a good ways from downtown. I felt as safe on the Dublin Luas as I did on any other metro anywhere. The two intersect each other in a simple cross shape, so it's impossible to get lost. Just make sure you are going in the right direction. Green basically runs north to south, and Red runs West to East. The lines also connect to commuter trains that will get you to further places outside the city. For example, I was able to transfer over to the DART train to visit the village of Howth.

I call them and they say they are still trying to get me a taxi! I stand on the road and get one instantly. This is the 3rd time I've had to cancel a taxi with them even with day's notice because they have made me late and I catch a taxi from the street. The first time I had problems with them, I got a message saying the taxi had been dispatched, 15mins late I call them asking where my taxi is....they were still trying to find one for me!!! Learn to keep your customers updated. There are simply no excuses. I can honestly say now, I'll be using other companies. This one has had its chances

As this was a return I would at least have expected the driver to arrange a pickup location prior to letting them out. He didn't do that, nor did he give them a card to call him on, the number he did give was a full message box as nobody answered the phone. My parents had to walk half way back to their hotel before getting a taxi at half the price. I will never use their services again .
