We love Dr. Rajashekhar! She's seen our whole family. She's great with kids and adults alike. Just wish we could clone her to be our GP too!

NOTE today is Friday the 11th of December and having just listened to my message from Sanova North of a couple of days ago, I am getting a definitive answer about my prescription from my last visit SEPTEMBER 1ST. There is no way it should EVER take 3-1/2 months to resolve a patient inquiry and concern over medicine! I called several times during this time frame and each time someone responding to the prescription/ nursing line assured me she would speak directly with my provider and get back to me with answers and they did Not! And when they did, it was with disappointing info that doesn't support what the provider told me in person :( nursing line

I was searching on Yelp for a new Dermatologist recently and came across Sanova Dermatology North…read moreAustin and was really happy that they were so welcoming and customer service oriented in being able to set an appointment the same week to be seen for an annual skin check. Amanda was super helpful! Really good because scheduling or rescheduling an appointment with my then provider, a large hospital clinic network, was a months long wait. My check-in at the North Austin location off of Mo-Pac near Parmer was effortless and very pleasant and my clinical visit with Lorin the Medical Assistant and Stephanie PA-C for the skin check was through and very informative. I was beyond pleased that PA Stephanie was able to examine and treat a spot on my ear that she had concerns with and also perform a procedure on a couple more that required them to be excised off. The visit was really positive and I accomplished so much in 90 minutes from the time I walked in along with directions on using appropriate sunscreen! Sanova Dermatology offers lots of services , so I expect that I'll be back more often than annually for routine maintenance and care at a really reasonable and fair cost.

Dr. Covington was nice, she explained how to use my creams and I also had questions about other products I use at home and she suggested other procedures that would more efficiently help my hyperpigmentation with melanated skin. She prescribed some creams and it went well! Their office smelled good and was clean too. I'll be back for sure.

I booked a "New Patient Full Body Skin Check" appointment online for July, but was happy to receive an alert saying that Dr. Covington could see me sooner this week. So I hopped on it and completed the online registration. Registration was straight forward and I appreciated the clear and frequent communication leading up to the appointment. On the day of, check-in was straightforward, the front staff was kind and professional, and the waiting area was new and shiny; all was looking up until my appointment. I met the Dr. who was nice, but I realized early on that this would be a touch and go appointment. I immediately sensed I was being hurried. My "new patient" experience felt very impersonal. I talked about my skin concerns, but the doctor didn't seem curious about any of them and asked little to no follow up questions-- only giving quick answers that left me with more questions. After I talked about my concerns, that was it. I'm not sure what the "Full Body Skin Check" was supposed to entail, but there was no additional "checking" of any kind, and I was so over the whirlwind appointment after a mere 10-15 mins that I didn't care to ask. I left with an Rx and follow up appointment that I'll be canceling now that the dust has settled. I'm glad I checked this place out for myself, but it's back to Austin I go.

(RESULTS INCLUDED IN REVIEW) If you're reading this review,…read moreit means you're genuinely trying to find a good dermatologist so good on you. I've now gone in for two separate needs 1. Hair thinning / loss 2. Rash on my torso 1. (Hair Loss) I'll include the before and after photos of 1 year going to Gavino and you'll be shocked at the difference. I had been going to a couple of different dermatologists before, but felt I was always getting a surface level treatment. When finally finding Gavino, I was surprised at the level of treatment they provide. I was prescribed 2 oral medications and a shampoo. I told Dr. Gavino how I had been on finasteride, and topical minoxidil before but saw okay results. He informed me he preferred oral minoxidil instead of topical to prevent breakage in my already thinning hair (bonus because taking the oral medication is SO much easier) and later added a new medication to boost my hair treatment. It's been 1 year and my hair is INSANELY healthier now, and the loss has completely been stopped. I plan on doing PRP at their clinic to continue to boost my hairs health, and will update later this year. 2. Rash - Super simple but again, I was able to get a quick appointment, determined what it was, and prescribed a cream that knocked it out in literally 2 days. Their office is definitely a cut above, and I'll breakdown what I've seen so far. - Texting only facility, which it's 2026 and I think just about everyone is tired of getting spam calls so this is a breath of fresh air - Staff is awesome! They're great at their jobs, smooth, professional, and extremely efficient - Gavino is the best dermatologist I've worked with! The guy actually gets things done, and has exceeded my expectations to where I've recommended him to friends that live hours away. Charismatic but also extremely knowledgeable to where he has walked me through the treatment plan and answered any and all of my questions! If you're still reading this review you're either really looking for someone good, or work at their office LOL all in all as a current patient, I cannot recommend them enough for your dermatology needs.

Some people don't know that doing this can make you resistant to antibiotics. I don't like that you can't talk directly to him with a question after a surgery and a diagnosis that you don't understand. You must text which is very odd. Or he wants a picture sent . I was a Derm nurse and know this is not a good thing to do. You need to be able to talk to him with a question. Also wait times have gotten too long. He finally got a service for after hours if there is a problem. my husband and I have changed dermatologists. But for the record, he's personable if that's what you're looking for...
