There is a post office here, but there is no counter service. It's primarily. P.O. Box and mail pick up by local residents. They do have a 24 hour mail drop, with pick up in the early morning. The convenience store is nice. It's clean, and the people are friendly. I like the decorations in the store. It has your usual. Beer, wine, food, snack, snacks, sundries, and it also has a small hardware section, which a good amount is winter gear. It has a small but nice souvenir section as well. Prices are pretty typical on some items, and then on others, they are a bit higher. I got an amazing beef jerky, and the price was reasonable for what I got They do sell chains in the winter time, but believe me, you are going to pay for them. There's plenty of parking, including truck and RV parking. There's also a popular snow park in the winter time. The elephant in the room, is, of course, the gas prices. You are pretty much in the middle of nowhere, with only a few gas stations in the immediate area, so you are definitely going to pay for gas. The best thing to do is fill up in Sacramento, Auburn, or Reno. The gas in Colfax and Truckee is a bit higher, but still well below what they charge here. I like this store. I will be back. There's only two islands and three pumps. Space is limited, so lines form as drivers must wait. Gas is pricey at this 76 station. The independent place across the street is only slightly lower. Gas is always expensive here but it was cheaper than most of Grass Valley! 5.39 a gallon for premium March 11th. I always stop here and get an iced coffee and maybe a sandwich or a kind bar. They also have hot food. The burritos in the morning go quickly! Bathrooms are relatively clean. There is a car wash and ATM. Boating nearby so this is a popular place to get ice and beer as well!
