For anyone seeking IDP - International Driving Permit Came today to get my IDP. Went through the whole process, then the person literally refused to hand me the already established document without paying another $40 to join aaa on top of the $20 fee. According to US Department of State the membership is not required, as they're the only company authorized by fed. Will be reporting to US Dept as well as BBB for breach of service. A lovely man answered the phone. I made a reservation for 9:30 AM for a 10:30 AM Drs Appt No one showed. At 10 AM I called & the driver & was told "Hes 30 mins away" or it would now be them getting here @ 10:30 and hour late. HOW IRRESPONSIBLE CAN YOU BE? You make a reservation you set it up the night before you tell them its a Drs Appt So you give them time for error as you want to make sure you are there on time as its a 10 to 13 Min Drive at MOST BTW: AS PER MAPQUEST From my Address to 1050 SE Monterey Rd in Stuart, FL, is a short distance, roughly 1-2 miles, a quick 5-10 minute drive. I thought I was getting the 4 star and it turns out I got the 2.9 Star which turned out to be a zero. I had a dead car battery. Their AAA 800 phone number answering machine has not worked for SEVERAL YEARS now; their attitude seems to be if you can't reach us, that's less work for us. They always seem to use the exact same road service company which is headquartered 35 miles away in another county. I asked the service technician why their car batteries cost twice as much as other companies charge, and he replied "our batteries are warrantied for 5 years, their batteries are only for 3 years". I discovered that this was a big fat lie when I finally got the bill (which they insisted on e-mailing to me later rather than providing to me at the time of the service call) showing the terms of the warranty. If you like paying outrageous prices after being ignored and lied to, you will love this outfit. AAA should supervise their local office a little instead of sending junk mail pushing insurance every month. read more

I signed up for service and unfortunately I had a flat tire later that day; I was told that in the first 7 days, they did not provide service; I was charged $60 for someone to come change a tire, I agreed to have them come out and I told then to send the technician and cancel and return my membership fee. Today after receiving, the run around for over an hour I was told that they could not return my membership because they provided service even after I originally told them to cancel the membership before I told them to provide service. As a follow-up the terms of the membership did not provide this information. I have been a member of AAA for decades in AZ, but never had an issue. AAA of Florida is terrible and in my opinion unprofessional and unethical!! Choose a different company you will be sorry with AAA!!! read more

Called for roadside assistance this morning, Billy was in our driveway a half hour later, ran diagnostics, determined it was the battery, changed the battery and life is good again. Love my AAA ! read more

I will never book a vacation through AAA again. We made our deposit with Royal Caribbean but transferred and finished it through the Stuart AAA because when inquiring about their deals vs RC direct prices we were told we'd get a few perks like a bottle of wine and fruit basket. This was confirmed over and over. Well, after getting on ship, those weren't there. I emailed our agent at AAA and promptly received a reply: "Hi David, Royal changed the program for this year to balcony stateroom and above. So sorry about that! Bon Voyage, You are still going to have a wonderful time! Cheers, Jen". Well, then we found out we also lost our $50 on board credit which we did not know either. We should have just finished the booking with RC like my sister in law. Would have been nice to find this out prior instead of basically an oops, reply. Real bait & switch to get less. I would give AAA Stuart ZERO stars if I could. Their representatives were very UNhelpful and UNcurtious. Went in to ask for TripTix and Marty B. had us sitting at his desk while he clicked away on his computer for over a half hour saying he couldn't print. He finally sent us over to another agent, Cindy M. to start the entire process over again. Cindy was very rude, condescending and even argumentative. Then we asked her to check prices for a hotel listed in the AAA Tourbook. Once she found out that we already had reservations but wanted to see if she could get a better rate, she all of a sudden said she did not have access to check on rates. We asked for clarification but she made no sense. What a horrible experience. Horrible customer service from these Member Representatives. read more

Waiting for our REFUND since April. Their story as per Tampa office, U will receive the funds end of April. next story (QUOTE) Oh U will receive your refund end of May as per the Tampa office. As of June 1, 2020 No check. Another call (4) to Tampa, Oh the check was mailed out May 25! that's May 25, 2020 from Tampa to our home in Stuart Fl. Tampa office and Stuart office all tell the same story. As per Tampa office one female rep. told us the delay is because we live in Florida. The latest story (ready for this one) It takes a long time. (AAA office in Stuart can issue a check to us?) for the U.S.P.O. to deliver the check to Stuart. Really! It must be the S.O.P. to Stall, hold on to the Customers money as long as possible. We are and will most likely dump AAA. We pay our Premiums full amount on time to AAA (condo/auto) in Stuart. i have called twice for roadside assistance , both instances the customer service roadside reps have ask me for my medical history , here's the thing if i can't and will not ask for your medical history hippa laws are in place for my protect as a consumer i have the right to buy a service and the goods delivered without disclosing my medical history ..AAA went has far as this .i needed roadside once and towing the next as they would not assist me either time as i would not disclose as i asserted my right to my privacy of medical history. i paid for an entire year two ppl some 200 dollars and i been harrased by the roadside assistance reps read more
