This review is mostly aimed at State Farm, not so much the agent(s) although they could have done…read moremuch better with follow-up. I have an older mobile home (1972) but lots of renovations since bought about 15 years ago and it's in good shape. In Oct. my current insurer notified me that they were discontinuing mobile home insurance and my contract would expire on Nov. 17. Called around and had several places working on estimates. Some insurers will not insure a mobile home built prior to 1976 because they were not at that time required to adhere to the current building codes (which do change from time to time). So On Oct 6, after giving this State Farm agent all the pertinent information about my place... year built, description, photos and upgrades I received a good price estimate from this agent I went and paid for it and signed papers. Then I contacted some of the other companies I had estimates from and told them I was going with State Farm not wanting to make them wait until the last minute. Weeks passed, I heard nothing. Didn't want to be a pest or seem to rush them and thought surely if there were a snag they would have contacted me before my current policy ran out. Finally on 12-11 I decided to call and see why I hadn't received anything directly from State Farm. The agent checked and told me they rejected my application due to the age and not being up to current code. I still hadn't received anything from State Farm, but the agent told me they are supposedly sending a letter out and a refund (after months). They knew the year built right from the start. It seems the agents there also should have followed up and really should have known in advance that this would happen. So now I am uninsured, due to their lack of follow-up and called one other agent who had done an estimate for me and they said they aren't sure if their company will consider me now. Back to square one except in the meanwhile I have no coverage. I should have known better, in the past (long ago) I had a similar issue with State Farm, and I also used to have auto insurance with them but they screwed me around with that also. If something should happen to my place in the meanwhile you can be sure there will be lawsuits. There is no excuse for leaving me this position now. I finally received a partial refund on 12-12-25 from which they deducted the time in between. STATE FARM should not be allowed to exist, I certainly will never use them again.

Dear Allstate Customer Relations Team,…read more My name is Marvin Fraser, and I am writing to formally express my profound dissatisfaction with the handling of my insurance claims following the severe winter storm damage sustained by my home in the Delaware/Northeast region. After twenty years of loyal membership and consistent premium payments, I find it deeply disappointing that Allstate has demonstrated little to no meaningful effort in addressing my claims for roof and screened patio damage -- damage caused by one of the most severe winters this region has experienced in decades. Despite submitting my claim in a timely manner, I continue to find shingles on the ground after every subsequent storm, a clear indication that the matter remains unresolved and that my property remains vulnerable. Given the lack of responsiveness and the absence of adequate support from your organization, I have made the decision to personally finance 100% of the cost to replace my roof and upgrade my screened patio to a glass enclosure -- expenses I reasonably expected my long-standing insurance coverage to address. Furthermore, I wish to formally notify you that, effective June 1st, I have secured both home and auto insurance coverage through another provider -- one that I am confident will deliver the level of protection and service my assets deserve. After two decades of membership, this was not a decision I made lightly; it is a direct consequence of the inadequate service I have received. While I do not intend to actively disparage your organization, I will not hesitate to share my honest experience should anyone seek my recommendation regarding Allstate's services. I trust you understand that customer loyalty is earned through consistent, reliable service -- something I regret to say I did not receive. I sincerely hope Allstate takes this feedback seriously and takes meaningful steps to improve how it serves its long-term members. Respectfully, Marvin Fraser Former Allstate Member -- 20 Years

My experience with Empire Auto Protect has been extremely disappointing…read more After trading in my vehicle, I contacted Empire Auto Protect to cancel my extended warranty. I was told I would need to provide a copy of my bill of sale before they would process the cancellation. Because the trade-in documentation is embedded within my purchase contract and contains sensitive personal and financial information, I explained that I was not comfortable providing it and asked if there was an alternative form of verification. Instead of working with me to find a reasonable solution, I encountered customer service representatives and a manager who were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. While I was simply asking questions about the company's cancellation policy, my calls were disconnected multiple times without resolution. Customers should be treated with respect, especially when asking legitimate questions about a contract they purchased. Requiring unnecessary documentation containing confidential information, combined with poor customer service, made this an extremely frustrating experience. I hope Empire Auto Protect reviews both its cancellation procedures and the professionalism of its customer service team. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
