You may review this yourself. I received an offer for Home owners Insurance from Paul Sarnak in the mail, Almost too good to be true nearly half of my current carrier so I called . Instantly got the run around then transferred to someone else. I assume she was an agent and I told her why I called and she apparently knew nothing of the ad and started taking information as if I was applying. She asked a few questions about my home but no where near enough to provide an accurate proposal but wanted all my contact information saying she'd put it into the Computer. I refused providing my email as providing it would have given them authorization to continue emailing Ads. She said she'd call . She did but my phone rejected the call as an unknown and I told her to make sure she had an ID that will be accepted . I called back and again got someone who knew nothing then transferred me to someone else who began completing an application . I asked her that I need numbers before we move forward and that they had already been provided by her boss. She said then that she needs to perform a Soft run on my credit which would require my giving her my Social and I refused. She said that she needed it before she could provide an estimate . I said that's crazy . You will base my proposal based on my credit report before giving me numbers. I said if this is the way you do business I'm done. they latter text saying that they had my numbers to please call. I blocked their number. If this has happened to you beware and even if you don't buy they may harvest your info and may sell it . Pretty good reason, at least from my experience, why they are the worst

I never used my policy. I then sold my car and attempted to cancel my policy. Apparently everyone at the company has a different way of canceling a policy. It depends who you ask. The first time I called, a guy said, " Okay, you are cancelled". He didn't even verify my address or make of car or anything. I later found out the next month they (Empire) had taken out a payment for my policy. I called Empire and they told me a representative would be calling me back. I never got the callback. So I stopped payment through my bank. Then they started texting me threatening me that my policy would be canceled if I didn't make a payment because my payment did not go through. I called Empire again. The representative asked me if I had filled out a cancellation form. I told them, "No, no one told me to". She said with her 'know it all attitude', "Well the last person you talked to made a notation that they sent you a cancellation form". I told her with the same attitude. "Well, he did not send me the form and I am not going to fill one out. Just cancel my account." (hang up) Then, I received texts from the company on a daily basis for three days. Again, threatening to cancel my policy. I called back again. I spoke to another representative. I told him what was happening. He said I will take care of it right now for you. I have not heard anything from them for about a week. I hope this is over?

My experience with Empire Auto Protect has been extremely disappointing…read more After trading in my vehicle, I contacted Empire Auto Protect to cancel my extended warranty. I was told I would need to provide a copy of my bill of sale before they would process the cancellation. Because the trade-in documentation is embedded within my purchase contract and contains sensitive personal and financial information, I explained that I was not comfortable providing it and asked if there was an alternative form of verification. Instead of working with me to find a reasonable solution, I encountered customer service representatives and a manager who were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. While I was simply asking questions about the company's cancellation policy, my calls were disconnected multiple times without resolution. Customers should be treated with respect, especially when asking legitimate questions about a contract they purchased. Requiring unnecessary documentation containing confidential information, combined with poor customer service, made this an extremely frustrating experience. I hope Empire Auto Protect reviews both its cancellation procedures and the professionalism of its customer service team. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
