He double booked our move, so we had 2 individuals moving our stuff instead of 4. Claims that his moving services were always quoted for 2 men and 1 truck. Then what's the point of taking an inventory of what items we have? What's the point doing that if you don't plan to send additional movers? Aside from that, if I hadn't gone out of my way to protect my stuff from getting dented, scratched, or scuffed, it would most likely have gotten destroyed during the move. It's also really irritating that our desk chairs were damaged because for some reason they decided to roll them on the sidewalk instead of picking them up. The move wasn't even a long distance, they didn't have to carry anything except furniture and maybe 10 boxes. It wasn't even a big move, it was 15 minutes across town. We were booked for 5 hours, they charged us for 6 hours, which of course it took this long without the appropriate amount of movers. Realistically, this move should've taken a maximum of 3-4 hours with the appropriate resources. If you're looking for a moving company, look somewhere else. This is an overpriced criminal business operating as a moving service.

Our couch was in immaculate shape until they apparently stuffed it sideways on its end and got some type of stains on it while moving it. Our TVs were just thrown in the storage unit sideways. They were NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL When we reported the damages to the owner he ignored us and played games on a post I posted on my personal page asking for help finding movers. We were looking for other moving companies because of the HORRIBLE job that was done and due to the fact that in the past a worker at Road Runners got caught digging through my grandmother's purse. It seems like he doesn't appreciate or value his customers or take HIS customers complaints seriously. Right is right and wrong is wrong period. I don't understand why someone who is supposed to be professional would treat people who pay them good money that way and not want to fix their mistakes. He also called me about two hours ahead of the scheduled time and told me they were on the way because he didn't want his workers standing around on his watch doing nothing. I am assuming he wanted them to be standing around on our time doing nothing instead... We were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND DISSATISFIED WITH THE WAY OUR BELONGINGS WERE DAMAGED AND HOW RUDELY WE WERE TREATED AND BLATANTLY IGNORED when we brought it to the owners attention WITH photo evidence of some of the damages. I moved from a 3 bedroom home in Dothan, AL to a 3 bedroom home in Birmingham, AL. These guys had the entire move completed in less than two days! True America really is the best.

We even paid a deposit. 8am came and went... 9am came and went. After multiple attempts to reach out we did not receive a response, we even told them if we did not hear back we would need to hire someone else. At almost 10am is when they FINALLY messaged back saying they were there. We let them know we hired another crew because we did not hear back. NOW THEY ARE NOT REFUNDING OUR DEPOSIT . If we can get our refund back I would consider changing my review since that would be the ONLY considerate thing they did as a company. As for now... BEWARE! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT SHOW UP TO DO THE WORK

I messaged him at 7am to make sure they were still coming no response. Messaged him again at 8:30 saying if i don't get a response that i would be hiring another crew and requesting my deposit back still no response. 9am came so i hired another crew, he finally responded at 9:50 saying his guys were almost here i let him know that i hired another crew because there was no communication and i would like my deposit back. He began to ignore my messages and NEVER sent the $150 deposit back. I am in the Air Force and been in for 19 years i work hard for my money and it sucks to be taken advantage of especially because i make sacrifices to defend the nations freedom.....DONT HIRE....DONT HIRE

I will never hire Goolsby Plumbing again - EVER!…read more I hired Goolsby Plumbing to replace multiple undersink and toilet valves with 90-degree ball valves in early May 2026. Upon arrival their technician insisted rubber valves were better than 90-degree ball valves. I questioned it, but he insisted, and since he's the expert, I took his advice. He then took just as long for the simple rubber washer replacement job as was originally quoted for the more complex brazing job. After speaking with two other plumbing companies since then who have confirmed the ball valves are better, I now believe the Goolsby tech doesn't care about quality workmanship and just wanted the easy job rather than braze on the better quality valves like a true craftsman. I also believe that he "milked the clock" in order to overcharge me, not because the job required it. I believe he DEFRAUDED me. (But I could be wrong, this is just my opinion). Their billing practices are also questionable. Undisclosed to me prior to billing and payment, they start billing at $90/hr for the tech to simply DRIVE from their office to the job site, not when the tech arrives on the job. I live 3.7 miles and 8 minutes away from their shop (per Google maps) and was charged $45 for an alleged 30 minutes of "travel time". I was charged professional plumber rates for non-plumbing activities, and additionally was overcharged for travel time by 375%. I believe this is also FRAUDULENT! (But I could be wrong, this is just my opinion). I called the office that same morning, right after the tech departed and politely expressed these concerns to "M" and requested a refund of the travel charges. She politely informed me "This is our normal practice" and said she would forward my request to the owner. A few hours later I called again with the same effect. On such a simple and obvious matter, I expected a response the same day, or perhaps an immediate decision from the office manager. Instead, I remain ignored and swindled. (But I could be wrong, this is just my opinion). As of this writing, 02June2026, I still have not received a response, and I do not expect one. "Fool me once, shame on you...". There will not be a "twice". I will NOT be doing business with Goolsby Plumbing in the future. (Definitely NOT wrong- it ain't gonna happen!)

I think there were a total of 6 people who worked on our house and 4 were members of the same hard working family! Everyone was extremely friendly, professional and accommodating. AAA Moving helped my family relocate last November and they were fantastic! Their workers were polite and gentle with our belongings and arrived on time. If they were unsure about an item, they took the time to ask whether it should be packed or left for us to carry. They went above and beyond our expectations. Here's an example: Our 5 yr old has a very special blanket that she can not sleep without. She had been carrying it around during the packing and left it in an open box in our master bedroom. We discovered it was missing at the end of the packing day. The only thing she could remember was where in the room the box had been. Those sweet workers spend a half an hour reopening boxes that were already loaded on the truck until they found it! Once at our new house 3 states away they quickly and carefully unloaded everything and had it set up in no time! I could not believe how quickly our house became our "home." We would recommend them again and again! read more
