This was the first time that I had ever visited the travel repair side of AAA. Wow! First off the atmosphere when I walked in was very friendly. When I went to the service desk I was greeted by the rep and felt like I had been coming there regularly. Very friendly. They went out of their way to take care of me. They told my son that plugging our flat tire would take 45 minutes. he told them he HAD to pick up a friend from chemotherapy in an hour. "No problem," they said. THREE hours later, the car was still sitting up on the rack waiting for someone to work on it. We had to find another ride for the poor friend finishing chemo. I probably WON'T be back ! read more

Ripped off. Charged me $421 in labor to replace 8 spark plugs, no wires, no problems. When challenged they told me it's the industry standard to charge 3 hours of labor for spark plug R&R. I suggested to them that that charge was wrong. They just stared at me. Looking up the industry standard for labor charges I found that spark plug R&R on a Ford F150 without problems should be between $125 and $200. I will not be going back. read more

My husband and I recently became AAA members and I had my first experience with the automotive department. Upon returning from vacation, my car was delaying to start. I stopped in to the service department without an appointment, and they had a new battery in my car and me on my way back to work within about 30 minutes. They were friendly, fast, and very competitive in their pricing. I would also like to add that I had the opportunity, while I waited, to speak with Michelle in the travel department. She was very personable, helpful, and knowledgeable about the places I inquired about. It was an overall great experience! I'm glad that we decided to become members. read more

i had a terrible time. it was our prom night. we called at 7 and they told us 30 minutes. at 9 oclock. two hours later. they said they would be there in 6 minutes. we called again and they said it's be another hour. because of the non reliable service. we not only missed our pictures. we were also over an hour late to prom with no prom. i wish i could give this place a 1 star. they ruined our senior prom. read more

We received a coupon when we signed up recently and I thought I would use it for an upcoming oil/filter change and a tire rotation. Had never used this place before so I scheduled an appointment. The facility is well-maintained and attractive for a service center. I was cordially greeted and was asked what type of oil I preferred. A little over an hour later, the service representative advised that I had a nail in my tire that couldn't be repaired and they couldn't rotate the tires as a result. They offered to replace it to the tune of $230 or so but noted it would not be the type I already had on the car. They offered to order the same match but the price would be abut $275 and take another day to arrive. I decided to drive about a block down the street to Gerald's Tire and get their take on it since I had not noticed any air pressure loss in the tire. The Gerald's rep promptly examined the tire and found a small nail imbedded in the tread. He retrieved a pair of pliers and removed the nail while squirting water to see if air was escaping. Nothing happened. The rep said the tire was not damaged because the metal only penetrated the raised tread and not the tire itself and I was "good to go". He thanked me for stopping by and said "No Charge" and I was on my way. Now where do you think I will go for my next set of tires (or any related service that can be scheduled for that matter)? read more

They handled the repair in a timely fashion and informed me of the cost in advance. The car was clean when the job was finished.

I like bringing my car to AAA Mount Pleasant because the technicians are much more competent than the run of the mill oil change places and other random car repair shops. Their prices are much better than the dealership for maintenance repairs. Their oil change is a little pricier than the other places, especially considering they don't top off the other fluids, but they do give a fairly comprehensive report on other items that need attention without pressuring you to do the work at the moment. Most importantly they are convenient and they make appointments. There is a nice waiting area with a couple of computers with internet access and a TV. The only thing I could say would improve my experience would be if they included topping off the other fluids in the standard oil change package. read more

worst customer service experience i've ever had with AAA. i'm a gold card member and they treated me like crap. keys were locked in my car which could've taken 5 minutes to help me get them out and the said "it's gonna be a 35 minute wait" they never showed or called. i called again after an hour then they said "5 mins away" i waited another 45 and no one showed up. and then they said "oh those arrival times were computer generated" in probably gonna cancel my membership. thanks AAA MT P FOR BEING AWFUL. and get a new receptionist she was rude. when people are in distress they don't need someone being an butt to them. read more

Maybe I caught them during a bad week.... this was the worst experience I've ever had. I had just moved here (last fall), and something was up with my brakes. Because of positive experiences at other AAA car care centers, I figured it was the best place to go. After I paid for two brake pad replacements, what had once been a squeaky noise became a disturbingly loud and scary noise. Took it back two more times too many for more "necessary" replacements. $700 later, I had more problems than I'd started with and I am still scarred. Should have gone to Gerald's in the first place. read more

Told my special order tire arrived. Salesman told me to come in and they would fit me in. When I arrived I was told to make an appointment and come back in 3 days. Told them my bad tire was losing air and ready to pop. They said sorry come back in three days. Took the tire to tire kingdom/NTB. Marshal said he could have it done in a jiffy. 1/2 hour I was on the road with a smile. Shame on AAA. Never heard of a tire shop sending a customer away with a bad tire. read more

i got my windshield replaced by aaa glass, the guy i had was really nice, he really helped me out when he replaced my windshleid. His name was Tim, im not sure of his last name. my total was 245$, i gave him 260$, having only 20$'s and he handed me a 20$ back, when i told him i still owed him 5$ he told me not to worry about it. he was hands down the best person i could have got to get my windshield replaced. he also helped me fix the cloth inside my car. i would highly recommend this company to fix/replace windshields. i cant even imagine how great they are with other repairs. i want to thank them for all their help. they have great service and they are caring people who actually care about their work. i will continue to go to them for any problems i have with a vehicle, as in glass, engines, and any other general problem i have. The caring people will be my first go to whenever i have a problem. AAA will be my first choice no matter what happens to my car. read more

Bottom line: be careful. I came in for the $25 air conditioning check service. When I arrived, I learned that the service just makes sure that A/C turns on and blows cold air, so I accepted the change to $89.99 that actually attaches the refrigerant machine to the A/C. I received a call about an hour later that I needed to replace both Schroeder valves for $70 since they had signs of oil and dirt as well as indications that someone had tried to service the A/C in the past. Wrong. I drove over to the shop to verify the information and visually inspect the valves. When I arrived, the A/C machine was already connected to the system so I had no way to verify that their comments were accurate or not. I am the original owner of the vehicle and fastidious about maintenance which is why I was suspicious. They added refrigerant and I returned later to pick up the car. At that time, the guy behind the counter mentioned that since the valve replacement was done before I had authorized it, AAA would not charge me for the valves. I agreed, paid for my $89.99 A/C service and left. read more
