I've had a few experiences with these guys over the years. I think they came into Yuma when they…read morebought out Mohawk Supply. Before the Internet was mainstream for most folks I used to walk and wait like a supplicant for my turn to be heard. I put up with it because quite often they had what I needed "today." Some of the staff were decent, but made it seem like they thought they were doing me a favor to sell me anything. This really has not changed. Downgrade to four stars. A while back I quit contracting and started running my machine shop full time. Onesource was listed as a distributor for a brand of end mills I like so I contacted them. After a few emails it became apparent that they don't stock any. Atleast not in Yuma. That doesn't do me any good. I can order what I need myself and have one less level of middleman to potentially make a mistake. "We can get it for you," is not a functional business model for a brick and mortar store. Downgrade to three stars. Much more recently after several emails and several phone calls trying to get price and availability on some IMC (intermediate metal conduit) the best I got was some guy who wanted to, "establish a relationship." I would note that I was not after just a couple pieces, I said I would pay cash, and I specifically said please respond by email with price and availability. When I told the guy calling me (for the third time I think) I wasn't really interested in playing buddy games or getting invested in the process or whatever it was he was doing and I just wanted a price and availability he hung up on me. Finally I called the store and just asked whoever answered the phone if they even stock any IMC. Nope, but "they can get it for me." Downgrade to two stars. I need something (an electrical part) for my shop that they used to be likely to have back in the dark ages before mainstream Internet for all. Yeah, I am sure they could get it for me, but I just ordered it from a seller on eBay instead. Maybe we will become friends and maybe we won't, but I don't want to play games. Just give me a price and let me know if you have what I want in stock. You may not get the sale, but I'm more likely to give you a 4th chance if you don't waste my time, and its more profitable if you are direct and honest because it wastes less of your time too. I know some of this is the a holdover of the predawn of the Internet when Yuma Businesses sort of held the community hostage. "This is the way it is or you can do without." No. I don't have to do without. I can order anything I need from anywhere in the world. You are not doing me a favor to condescend to take my money.
