Nice location & employees. Needed passport photos... they're free with a AAA Plus membership. Called to ensure they did them at this location (Yelp said they did, but I wanted to be sure that was current info... it is) & to ensure they were open, since they're 1/2-hr drive from Boca. As a note to W. Boca residents, the Delray office is the closest AAA location to us. Every Membership Services agent was busy (about 1/2-dozen), but I was waited on immediately at reception & waited exactly 5-seconds for Trudy in Travel to greet me with a smile & take my pics. The woman at reception also alerted me that I'd need to remove my white sheer shirt, which I wore over a black tee. There are State Dept rules about the pics: 2"x2" color pic, white background, no white shirts, so much room from the top of pic & bottom, parameters on how much face/hair needs to be shown, specific lighting, etc... this is why you should skip paying for them at passport photo places, who often do them wrong according to recent Yelp reviews (too dark/light & retakes need to be done... not convenient when having upcoming travel plans) & come to AAA... they're savvy on all the laws. Even if you have to pay $20 more to upgrade to a Plus membership from basic, or pay for the pics should you not want the Plus upgrade, it's the same cost as getting them elsewhere & you get additional benefits for 1-yr, too. Trudy was kind enough to take 4 pics with a digital camera, as the 1st few made me look like I was on a bender from Federal Prison. Another note is, the State Dept wants a face-in-repose pic... no toothy smiles, only a half smile with no teeth showing, at most. She showed each one to me & kindly gave her input on why it should be taken again. She printed & cut them within a minute & gave me 2 copies in a small protective cover, 1 as insurance as they need to be attached via 4 staples to the passport renewal form. All in all, the whole process took 5-min. I visited on a Fri around 2pm & parking was competitive, but spaces are available, although you'd need to walk 50' or so, which is just a note to those who may need handicapped parking... there are 3-4 spaces, but this place is hopping & they're taken up quickly... people in, people out on a regular basis. Also, the AAA location is at the end of a strip mall with some very busy stores, like Ross, so I'm guessing the huge lot is often filled with cars. So I needed to tow my car so I call triple AAA and tell them i need a car towed he talks me into the premium membership so i can get it towed right away, I sign up then i call to have the car towed and that will be another 189 dollars because you cannot use AAA for 3 days - thats crap - he was extremely kurt and says I can cancel your membership for a 60 fee - seriously!!!! read more

The person who answers their calls as well as the owner Jeremy are rude and unprofessional. AAA should boot them as well as anyone who needs a tow and expects proper treatment as a paying customer. Only get told "Just leave a message and he will call you". This is my last resort trying to reach this specific location my next step will be to go higher and beyond this location. This is a review for AAA in general. We've been a member for over 15 years with the 100 mile towing option. Last weekend we finally needed a tow, as previously they have changed a flat tire or two. We broke down halfway through alligator ally. I called both AAA and the road rangers. Road ranger arrived in 5-10 minutes. AAA said because of the hurricane damage on the west coast all tows in Florida are limited to 10 miles. I explained that alligator ally transversed Florida and the nearest town was 40 miles away. They said so sorry but we're on our own. The best they could suggest was calling random places for a tow and requesting a refund. 15 years. Not one single tow! The road ranger helped us limp down the breakdown lane into a rest area. Uggg. Never again will we be AAA members read more

My car battery just died in the middle of a parking lot. I've called several times to check in ETA and all I get is "Assistance is on it's way". Being a AAA member has its perks. You can receive discounts on attraction tickets, trips, and insurances. The staff is always so friendly here. I stopped by to get an International Driver's License. I'd downloaded the application from their website and had the two passport pictures prepared. I walked up to the cashier, handed her my paperwork, pictures, a FL driver's license and $15. Five minutes later I had my IDL. It could not have been easier. I was also impressed with how well the cashier knew the process for issuing the permit. This seems to be a very knowledgable AAA office. I would certainly use them again. read more

Waited 20 minutes due to being directed to wrong location to wait. Computer problems within the office.... Interrupted by phone calls galore. Agent couldn't add any information of value for our trip. I stopped in at the Delray Beach AAA Office to double check if there was an entrance to SR # 29 in Everglades City to connect with R 41 Tamiami Trail so I could continue north and connect with I 75 to continue on towards Ft Lauderdale. THey confirmed in the affirmative and even printed me out a bound hard-copy Trip-Tix as well. Its been 3 decades since I actually had a custom made page by page road map made on the spot for a road trip. How antiquated but "cool"! read more

The AAA Delray location is a waste of time if you are in the market for auto or homeowner insurance. So far, I am waiting 8 days for a simple quote on each after making a special trip to this office with all my paperwork. All they had to do was compare and present. Went with another vendor. I might add every other insurance carrier responded to me with all details and prices within 48 hours. If all you want to do is plan a trip, I guess this is a good venue alothough you can do it all on the web. As for insurance.....do not waste your time. AAA is a dinosaur with personnel that have no sense of urgency and lack customer service skills. read more

In the past the staff has been terrific, this time the individual I waited to see was a person who could only offer me maps. All she did was stamp the cities I requested information about with a circle. I honestly do not remember her name, but she only wanted me to make hotel reservations. Very disappointed. read more

The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect as it is right off a main road. I went to buy tickets to visit one of the parks in Orlando for the following day and the lady was very fast and I was in and out quickly. Visited recently to switch Club affiliation and update my mother's car/home insurance policies. While there were fewer than 10 people waiting to be seen, it took a bit longer than expected to be seen by the first of two staffers However, she was very helpful and expedited a tedious process for me. Second staffer took care of business within 5 minutes. Front desk people are especially courteous. Very well-run office. Wish they could offer services similar to those in LA, where you can renew your tags, transfer ownership of vehicles and other DMV-related chores, as opposed to having to deal with interminable waits at local Delray DMV. read more

Went to the office to get maps and info for the LA area. I was fearing a long wait in the area where they do the maps, etc. Instead the receptionist was able to provide us with a guide and 3 very good maps right at the front desk. So the feared long wait was done in a minute or less. read more

I've been to AAA twice in the last three months and have been disappointed both times. The first time I went to get a passport picture taken. No one knew where the camera was or thought it was stolen. They were waiting for a new one. It wasn't until I made a fuss that they directed me next store to Staples to get the picture. Why didn't they say that in the first place? The second time I went, approximately one month ago, was to get a converter to charge my phone and i-pad while overseas. My experience with converters in the past has been negative, so I asked their advice on which converter to get. Nobody knew anything about the converters they carry in their shop. With the exception of picking up an occasional map, I haven't had a positive experience with this location. What was positive, though, is when my battery died and called the 800# to get help. They sent help within a half hour. So the 800 service is great. It's just not great at this location. read more
