Even thought this is a collection company, the service was very professional and thoughtful. I was paying a bill for my son and he was unavailable to give his consent to email a receipt to. THIS IS A SCAM!!!! SAME as the rest of reviews!!! We received a letter in the mail for a towing charge on a car we sold February of 2018. We call to try and resolve it, DAVID DIAZ hangs up. Call again to see what we need to submit, DAVID DIAZ puts me on hold indefinitely. Call back again to clarify what documentation we need and WHY and again he hangs up. These people are predators, and I'm sure are working together with these towing companies. Telling me that whoever I sold the car to never registered it. (I did a VIN search on the vehicle and it was clearly registered to someone else on 2/26/2020) The towing company noted on our documentation is FALCON TOWING, 15600 S MAIN ST, GARDENA, CA 90248. The lien company noted on the "DMV Certificate of Lien Sale" is CLEAR CHOICE LIEN SERVICE, It also states that the the car was sold by the towing company in August 2019 but I never heard from either company until May 14. read more

This company needs to be put out of business for what they do. My 81 yr old mom was in a big car accident where she didn't remember much after the horrific accident. Luckily no one was hurt except mom. Ambulances, paramedics, and police arrived to help my mom. My mom was in such shock that she had no idea who called the tow truck and what happened to her car. The car was towed by Preferred towing, a scam tow company that operates and preys on people like my mom. My mom actually has triple A roadside assistance and her coverage would pay for tow. However Preferred towing purposely tow my mom's car to a storage facility instead of a repair facility, knowing that the tow would not be covered when it's towed to a storage facility. Two days later when my mom went to pick up all of her belongings, such as eyeglasses and disable placard, the garage told my mom to sign something. The garage owner said to mom, "Sign this and you won't be responsible for the tens and thousands of storage fee while your car is sitting here. We will expedite this whole process and dispose of your car so you are not responsible for the car." My mom was very relieved, and she signed. The problem is they tricked my mom into signing something. We don't know what she signed and preferred towing has no record of her signing anything. Did she sign a total loss and salvage certificate declaring her car a total loss? We don't know. Did she release ownership of the car to preferred towing? My mom assumed that the garage would take care of it for her, but the total opposite happened. They are using her car to milk her. My mom nor we had any idea that the car was sitting in the lot all this time. Oh well, 6 months later, my mom received a letter citing the tow fee and the storage fee totaling $3590. My mom never received bill, notice, or anything except the collection notice 6 months later and when we pressed the matter and ask for a bill. The garage owner said a lien has been placed on my mom's car. Furthermore, a lien sale notice was filed at DMV. The same company that filed the lien sale notice also bought my mom's car for $265. That's crazy. They really know what they are doing and covered their tracks very well. When we called AAA credit service for her and argued that this whole thing is a scam, the unit manager David Diaz searched our profiles and knew we had means to help our mom. He then threatened my mom w a second letter. This time he's not only going to collect the whole fee but also interest and attorney fee. And if my mom doesn't pay, he will send my mom to jail. He scared the heck out of all of us and my mom now had the trauma of the accident and this horrific threat to send her to jail because of the roque tow company and AAA credit service. read more

This collection agency harassed us and tried to make us pay for a towing fee on a car that we haven't owned in over 7 years. I emailed them letters with official proof attached and they still claimed they would report the balance owed and it would hit our credit. It never did. This company just tries to scare you in hopes that you will pay a balance that is not your responsibility. They are VERY rude and unprofessional. Don't let them freak you out! If you havent owned the car and you know for a fact the car has been registered to a new owner with the DMV, you are safe and not responsible for someone else's towing fee. This David guy is a joke! I called him this morning trying to inquire about a tow debt stating that I am the registered owner of a vehicle that I never even drove let alone had in my name. I asked him what would happen if I brought in proof of me not being the registered owner at the time of tow and he said that wouldn't do me any good. I asked him how did he get my information and he said the DMV gave it to him. I proceeded to call the DMV and they confirmed that I am not the registered owner nor have I ever been. The car is actually my friends car and he never got the car registered in his name. I'm guessing maybe they got my info from a document within the vehicle, who knows. Anyway he proceeded to tell me to check my attitude and when I told him to check his fucking attitude he hung up in my face. I called back at least 10 times and he kept putting me on hold an never returning to the phone. I have never in my 28 years of existence experienced treatment like this from a business. Its sad that people/businesses like this are even able to operate. He keeps saying this will go on my credit but I cant see how when the car was never in my name and they have no signed documentation of me being linked to that vehicle. They called saying we owed $36 dollars for a debt to an insurance company for our business. We have been in the same location from the day we opened and they gave us a location from a random address I have never heard of. Gave us an email address that didnt belong to our company. They claimed we made payments on our insurance but as a business we pay all of our policies in full. They claimed we bounced a check although we dont even write checks in 2018 when everything is done online. The only accurate information they had was my name and phone number. The gentleman that goes by the manger couldn't even give his name, treated me unhuman. I can't believe how unprofessional rude and unhappy someone can be. I understand as a collection agency they deal with a lot of issues, (that is his job) he's there by choice. But he does not even answer or allow for any talk straight out hangs up multiple times, like a child throwing a temper tantrum then when he did answer he will put the called on hold as soon as he hear the name of person calling. Couldn't even get where is debt coming from. Also according to him there is no one else to speak with about the issue, coming on here for help after multiple attempts to call and just asoon as I gave my name was out on hold for an immeasurable time, gave up. Received a few collection notices for a towing debt from AAA regarding a car we sold a year ago. I spoke to David Diaz who is the supposed manager at AAA. I calmly explained the situation that we sold the car in 2018 and I am trying to follow-up on behalf of my husband who has been in the hospital for a month now unable to move. David cuts me off and started to recite DMV laws about needing to submit documentation within 5 days of sale. Yes, I know that, and the forms were mailed to the DMV accordingly at the time of sale. But for whatever reason, it looks like we are still showing up as the registered owners so I did in fact go back to the DMV already to get an updated stamped form in June. He continues to cut me off before I can finish speaking and says "That does you no good" and starts talking to me in a rude, condescending manner. I start to cut him off, and then he tells me to "check my attitude, he's not customer service" (ok, so just because you're not customer service and you're a "manager", you can be rude to people who are trying to figure out how to resolve things? Nice logic). He then stupidly says "your husband needs to go to the dmv" even though I clearly already stated that he was in the hospital. Earlier in the conversation he even noted my sister-in-law had called to try to resolve the situation last week, and she had explained my husband is in the hospital which is why we are trying to resolve for him. But for whatever reason, this notion is lost on David and he decides to tell me to "have my husband go to the dmv". So, I admittedly lose it and tell him "he's *bleep bleep* dying* at which point, David says "ok then let it go on his credit report" and hangs up. Total jerk, zero compassion, completely unhelpful, and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy to have to deal with these morons during an emotional or difficult time. I realize it must not be an easy job collecting debts, but it would serve their "management" to learn how to communicate with people - you might see better results and actually collect some money if you learned how to be "customer service" that you apparently are too good for. read more

However; if this was a decent, well known business HE WOULD NOT BE MANAGING it that's for sure, & he never will be able to manage anything better than the run down roach infested unknown business he manages now until he learns to put his emotions/pride/arrogance aside & treat clientele with respect, decency & professionalism. Downright criminals. Not only did They call me about a towing debt that I was unaware of but they didn't have my correct legal name or current address and she kept saying if I didn't pay right then and there I would be taken to court and go to jail. I'm sorry but why would I randomly give my credit card information over the phone to someone like this willingly? After requesting legal documentation sent to my email I requested to speak with anyone else and my representative was David. I still had never received anything in the mail from these people and was never given an account number, I set up a payment plan and every month I would email back my authorization to charge my account. I called about a month ago to settle my account completely, and was told to send my last authorization and that he would send back a letter stating my debt had been paid. Well I never received that. I resent my email authorization and asked for my confirmation letter and was told I needed my account number. I've never been given one I've always give them my first and last name, DOB and confirmed the last 4 of my social so I emailed that WITH THE CONFIRMATION LETTER and was told I needed to have an account number to obtain it. Since when? They are refusing to send me confirmation of my completed debt, and every time I try to call they will leave me on hold for 20 minutes and randomly hang up. We have received a letter/notice from Marc D. Wasserman Law Offices representing AAA Credit Service for our car which was towed away on November, 2017. We contacted them very next day after towing, they told us that if we don't collect our car in 30 days, they will dispose it & we said it's okay as the towing & storage amount they were charging were way more than the car's cost. Later on we never received any letter/notice or call for any payment till now & suddenly after 2 & half years, for the first time we are receiving the notice for the payment of towing, storage & interest. They are saying that they have sent payment notices multiple times, but we never received even one. Marc D. Wasserman & AAA Credit Service don't have the proper website also where you can confirm if this is legitimate or not. I called the towing company, AAA credit service & Marc D. Wasserman law offices, but they are asking us to pay rightnow & over phone or via moneygram to the attorney which are not at all safe options.
