I had to stop this contractor just one hour into a wood door installation project because the…read morequality was completely unacceptable. He actually cut the finished edge off a door to force it to fit (check the photos). His intention was to cover the cut edge with contact paper. He admitted he didn't inspect the doors before purchasing them and knew it wasn't quality work. I had him take the doors down and take them with him. I did not want to be responsible for getting rid of them. (see all photos). ​Although he agreed to return my deposit, I didn't hear from him for weeks. I then offered a generous $300 for his hour of labor installing the doors. I received a communication from him telling me he had too much money into materials and cited some random Michigan law about not being able to change your mind, despite poor workmanship. I then sent a last attempt certified letter to the address on his proposal, which he ignored. I am left with having to file a lawsuit to recover my funds. I would never trust this business or this owner. I have since hired a licensed contractor to do the job. What a night & day difference!! Spend the extra money to hire someone skilled & do your research. I never imagined I'd be in the position:(
