First off, let's be clear that these four stars are a smidge generous, but so was 7 Pillars. I…read morewould really give them about 3.75 stars. Prior to moving into my new home I wanted to get the carpets cleaned to handle pet odor and some staining. I chose 7 Pillars as I wanted to support a small, local business and I loved that their business name seemed to indicate they are Christian-owned. At the first appointment, 7 Pillars was on time and finished the job quicker than anticipated. The estimate was substantially higher than anticipated, though not unreasonable, as they charge extra for the solutions they use for stain removal and pet odor. Unfortunately, after the carpets dried, they didn't seem to be in much better shape than before they were cleaned. So I called the company and they offered to come back and redo it free of charge. The redo appointment was canceled the day of due to an issue with their equipment- fine, don't come back yet if we're going to have the same problem. When the appointment actually happened a couple of days later, the guy was late but worked hard to address the issues and totally re-did the rooms - I would've likely been fine with just spot cleaning! Did all of the spots come out? No. Do I fault the company for that? Not after seeing how hard the man tried to make things right and after doing some research on stains. This company's integrity is worthy to be lauded but don't expect them to work full miracles on your carpet if that's what may be needed. Know that it may be more expensive than their coupon indicates. Also know that in working with a small business, there can be challenges that are annoying to the customer but be patient and remember you're supporting real people here!

They wanted to clean the rug in place. It has no padding and I have hardwood floors. They said that…read morethey could still do it. I was told it was $50 more to take it in to your shop. Luckily they do good employees. The employees took it to my basement and cleaned it. They told me I could put it back in 24 hours. I lifted the rug and the floor was moist. I think it was moist enough that it could have damaged my wood floors. I have tried twice to call them today and get an answering machine. If you have padding I think they're fine. I flipped the 11'x8' rug over to finish drying for day two. I'm glad I had a basement to clean it in and the carried it down to clean it. Your call.

We were quoted a little over $400 for 3/4 load and it would be $500 if it was a full truck,…read moreincluding a 10% charge for being on the second floor. So worst case scenario, would have been $500. When the job was done, they tried to charge nearly $700. They changed the price of a full load and then said that the 10% was no longer rolled into the price AND wanted to charge a $20 fee to pay with a credit card, also not disclosed and an excessive charge since merchant fees are in the 3% range and they shouldn't be charging more than the $500 quoted. Next, they said we had to pay them that to "close the file" before they would address the damage to the floors. They scratched the hard wood flooring and will not address until they get payment in full. Needless to say, there is no credibility since the first part of the experience was false. Overcharging the job in the first place... Then, refusing to fix the damage. I would be very careful with these people. We had someone there painting the unit so this was all with someone WATCHING over them. NOTE: Most of the reviews are 2+ years old... Due your diligence on them before you use them. UPDATE: Trying to file a claim with their insurance company directly since they are trying to get payment before addressing the damage. Needless to say, if we paid them, they would disappear without a trace and we be out the charge (including the overcharge of nearly $200) and would have to pay to have the floors done out of pocket as well... So, their insurance agent gave us the underwriter so we can try and file a claim with them directly.

A great outfit The…read moretwo guys who come were friendly, polite and careful. They emptied all the clothing and junk from my mother's apartment where she lived for 30 years.
