Recently, we found Luke's Repairs and Remodeling to address the following issues: all interior and exterior doors were replaced and reframed, all pocket doors were replaced with new hardware which required removing and replacing the drywall. We also needed the entire house painted, a closest built around our mechanicals and additional shelving erected in the laundry area, as well as some electrical work. Luke came out, listened to everything we had to say and gave excellent input for the project. He gave us an estimate and stayed within the estimate for the entire job. Luke started on time, communicated throughout the entire timeline and ended on time. Luke, as well as his skilled carpenters, never minded being interrupted with questions and always took the time to communicate clearly. The project took approximately two weeks to complete. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Luke's warehouse to choose the items we needed for the repair and remodeling. Luke also did all the ordering, pick up and checked the materials that were delivered. We never had to bother with any items that were needed for our home. When I asked for his credentials, Luke did not hesitate to provide me a copy of his Kentucky contractor's license and his insurance. We noticed the way Luke was with the men he worked with. They had immense respect for each other. We are confident that the crew will stay with Luke. Finding a quality business to do home repair and remodeling is very difficult. Luke's Repair and Remodeling is a stellar company. My wife said, "Luke and his carpenters have made me fall in love with my home again". As for me, this was a $40,000 project and I could not be happier. We are looking forward to this summer when Luke will be back out to our home to remodel our master bathroom. Thanks Luke.

I spent $4,400 on Flooret LVP and signed a $9,200 contract for subfloor replacement and installation. Unqualified Labor & Lies: PM Grant Allen lied continuously about schedules, claiming crews would work weekends when the sub admitted he never works Sundays. The "lead installer" admitted he was strictly a flooring guy--not a framer or carpenter--and was paid only $3,500 of my contract. When I found a severe slope and bent planks upstairs, PM Grant Allen lied off-site claiming it was "in spec" until forced to measure it in person and admit fault. Their idea of a fix was building a ramp in my closet. Workmanship & Warranty Violations: Cardboard Shims: Installers placed cardboard packaging under LVP over concrete, voiding my material warranty. Zero Prep Care: I had to personally step in to treat dry-rotted framing wood they intended to cover up, force them to unseal HVAC vents they floored over, and stop them from cutting structural joists. Structural Defection: My finished floors are wavy, click, and bounce under footsteps. Billing Discrepancies & Abandonment: Charged for 6 bags of leveler while using cheap feather patch, charged for custom reducers they never supplied, and tried to hit me with a $1,568 change order for $375 worth of Home Depot OSB. They walked away without delivering the custom reducer. Owner Ben Norton offered a $1,500 refund while keeping thousands for work that completely ruined my floors. Formal AG and BBB claims will be filed.

Then when it seemed like she started understanding what style of stone I was looking for she pivoted and started telling me I could only buy a slab. I need like 6 square feet? A full slab costs thousands of dollars and is huge (like 60sqft) why would I buy that? Anyway she quoted some ridiculous price which I felt was either to get rid of me or to make extra $$. I have since found a company that was extremely helpful, efficient and great to work with, and I got a deal on a remnant piece like I wanted. I wont be back to Stonemark for any future projects I may have.

One day for drop-off of materials and the other day for installation. While the finished product is solid and I'm pleased, this experience lacked the polish of our first two installs. The "bummers" included the team arriving fairly late, almost 1-2 hrs than planned. Installation didn't finish in the one day we were scheduled. It took them 3 days and they weren't consecutive, so it took more like 3 weeks. The team didn't install pads on furniture, like the other installs, and it resulted in deeply scratched boards that had to be pulled up and replaced again. Thankfully we had extra material. The good that was appreciated included well cut corners for the kick board, took accountability for the scratches and fixed without a fight, and agreed to install a very small piece of footboard we didn't originally have in place. Note: pay by check to avoid any credit card fees. My husband paid the deposit with a credit card, which I asked him not to do, so they credited the card and let me pay the full amount by check. If you're considering flooring I do recommend you call them. We have gotten quotes easily and quickly, which is the first step in project planning. Knowing what to budget is half the battle.

I am very pleased with the outcome of my carpets being cleaned. We have 15 year old carpets that have lived on, spilled on, dirty shoes on, etc. and never been cleaned. And they brought them back as promised, but they reduced the overall price when two of the rugs didn't come out as clean as they had hoped. Those rugs were a little wet when they were brought back, and we were able to hang it outside to dry more. These rugs weren't new, so in general, we didn't mind this too much. POURING RAIN and they don't even cover shoes. Walked on beige carpet with shoes ON. Did noy clean up to baseboards..just the middle of room. Obviously inexperienced cleaners. Promise "guarantees", but none actually given. Never will use again. Nothing but broken promises and promises given. They will be given an F with BBB. I complained but they got mad and rude. He did the job, was very nice. I go to my office the following day and found the most disguisting odor of detergent that is stil strong 5 days later. I called to ask about the detergent and was told they didn't do my job, I looked up the receipt #, called back and was assured I would be called back. NOT! Later the teck called and I tried to get him to come rince this out the following day but he was too busy and made an appointment for the following morning at 9. After receiving a text saying he would be here at 9, I texted him back at 9:34 and asked for a time of arrival to be told me he was on another call and would be here as soon as possible. It is now 10:30. I planned my day around this and need to get going. After sneezing because the smell is so atrocious for 5 days this is not a happy ending. I cannot give Sunnyside Carpet Cleaning, Sellersburg a good review!!!!!
