I've been a AAA MEMBER for years and let me tell you some of the reason why. The roadside service that's included in the membership is fantastic. If you have a blowout on the interstate in the morning on the way to work or or on a long scary country road at midnight or even if your at home and wake up to find your stuck on a flat all you've got to do is call the 24 hr 7 days a week phone number on your AAA card and within 1 hour they'll have a professional to you and change your tire free of charge even if it 100 degrees and storming! Or you've locked your keys in the car, oh darn! Just call the 24 hour number and they'll have a professional to you free of charge and pop that lock for you! Your car just just broke down and your out of town, Crap it happens but call the 24 hr number and free tow even if it's 100 miles or more to where you need towed, yep Free! Going on a road trip in the USA or even EUROPE don't go spend money on tour books and road maps just go by any AAA OFFICE & show your card and the books and maps are FREE! Oh your going to Disney World, Sea World or so many places including hotels, restaurants, theme parks show your AAA CARD and SAVE $! Going on a CRUISE, well they can help you there as well. To me AAA puts my mind at ease when I travel they also have insurance although I haven't personally checked in to that but I've had many toes and many tires changed over the decades of being a member and yeah I've also locked the keys in the car. We went for passport pictures with my toddler and everyone in the office was super nice and accommodating. The woman that took his pictures made it fun for him and even gave him an extra picture to keep. Really good experience. read more

I have had the absolute worst experience with AAA. I received an email offering me 50% off the years membership if I joined online plus I could add two additional family members for free for the 1st year. I joined. Selected the plus membership for $62 I was billed $ 99.05. I keep receiving a bill for $37 to "complete" my membership. I called the 1-800 number several times, spent a collective 2 hours on the phone with reps whose only response was "online may offer promotions that we don't know about". So my question was who do I call to straighten this out. The response was we don't know. Ofcourse I'm cancelling this because first of all this was false advertising and the fact that no one can fix the issue is beyond irritating to me! read more

Have been trying to get my vehicle towed to Laplace from Baton Rouge for 2 days. It's always either we are too busy or no one is available or we are restricted. I paid for premier membership and can't get service. Oh but they said I could get tow truck and submit for reimbursement. Why do I pay $118 a year for? Membership is a waste of good money. read more

I've had the worst experiences ever with the Baton Rouge AAA location. The rates are overpriced, the representatives, management & their business procedures are unethical & untrustworthy. I'm going to report them to the Better Business Breau for theft & fraud. read more

They are not reliable for roadside assistance and deal with shady companies. Was told at 3:45 pm they would have a battery call truck with a replacement battery to my daughter within an hour. Received a call at 4:34 from Cole at United Towing saying the truck was 25/30 mins out. Told him the towing place closed at 5 and inquiried about battery. He said he didn't have batteries in inventory and was just doing a jump. My daughter and I pushed the vehicle out of the tow yard. We waited until 5:28 and Cole called again and said he was 25 mins out. He then denied he had called and said it just have been someone else. Still waiting....in a bad part of town and the sun is setting. Two calls to AAA basically got nothing but a manager would call to see about my complaint. This is not the service to use for women or children. Still waiting 5:58 pm - he went to the wrong address. Another 20 mins maybe. read more
