I have only used this service once and will definitely call them next time i need shuttle service. For 14 miles service to airport, they are cheaper than taxi. I paid $44.60 on taxi to SJC and this shuttle service charged $39 flat fee from Sjc to my house. I was a bit hesitant about using this company. As I was walking with my family to the taxi area at SJC, I saw that they were trying to get my attention. "Where are you going to?" I ignored them thinking that a taxi is a safer and more reliable. We wanted a mini van taxi and the taxi coodinator said we need to wait about 5 minutes for a mini van taxi. I asked the taxi guy about the shuttle service and he said they offer flat rate and have permits to pick up at the airport. He suggested it might be cheaper if i am going 14 miles. My shuttle driver, Anthony, was driving a mini van and he quoted me $39. Driver was friendly and said all the shuttles for this company mini vans. I will defiantly call them next time I need shuttle service. read more

I called them Saturday to schedule a pick-up from San Francisco airport. I gave my flight number and expected arrival time which was 10:33 am. Same night I called them again and had confirmation that they would pick me up. My flight landed at 10:30 am. No calls from the driver...I called the office several times... No answer. Finally they picked up the phone at 10:48 am. The lady on the phone said. "Sorry we had to change the driver. Other driver is already on his way and will be there in 20 minutes." I had a feeling that they were leaving San Jose at that moment and 20 minutes was just to keep me there. Exactly 79 minutes after this call the driver showed up. 20 minutes vs 79 minutes...I was right., instead of 10:33 am I was picked up at 12:07 pm! 94 minutes (1 hour and 34 minutes) late. The fact they came late was a bad thing, but even worse than this they were not honest on the phone. I gave two stars instead of one star because of their good service for two years prior to this extremely bad service. read more

We used this shuttle for a trip home from SJC to Palo Alto. The name is a bit confusing. Their website calls themselves AAA Abe Express Shuttle but when you call you get a voicemail that says SJC Door to Door Shuttle. The van itself (and the charge on your credit card) says Southwest Airporter. It's all a bit confusing. We called them to make a reservation before our flight home and we were quoted $39 for a ride from SJC to Palo Alto for 2. This is pretty reasonable, especially for a direct ride, although the website lists the price as $36 and also offers a 10% Stanford discount and 15% AAA discount (although I wouldn't expect that they would give both discounts). My fiance asked about those discounts and they said "This is best rate available" and hung up on him. If they no longer honor these prices, they should update the website. When we landed at SJC we called them as instructed. The call went straight to voicemail and my fiance started to leave a message but it disconnected him. When he tried to call them back he could not get a connection, even to voicemail, after about 5 tries. I called them from my phone and got through on the first try (to voicemail) so it seemed like maybe they had some kind of call screening? I left a message and the driver called back within 5 minutes. He asked where we were and when I told him, he asked if we could come to Terminal B (we were in A) but I asked if he could come to us instead and he said he would. The driver showed up within 5 minutes. We confirmed that it would be a direct trip home and he was able to follow our directions as to the best route. When we got home I went to pay and I asked him to confirm it was $39. He seemed to think it was more and said he would have to check with the dispatcher, which he did, and then charged us the correct amount. There was no problem paying by credit card. Bottom line: The trip home itself was very good: reasonably priced, direct, speedy, and with a nice driver who spoke English. However, all of the other weird things that happened (the different business names and the communication problems) make me a bit hesitant to book again. read more

They didn't show up. I had a 4:30am shuttle scheduled to go to sfo. I called at 4:40. No answer. I then texted them and I received a call back at 4:45am. The driver said he would be there at in 25 mins. Meaning he wouldn't get there until after 5:10am. I was traveling with 2 kids under 3 and started my trip stressed out rushing. We had to drive ourself to the airport and find parking last minute and try to make out 7 am flight. Not a good experience at all. Will never use them again read more

Showed up 25 minute late for our 5am pickup to SJC airport . Yes the guy called but it took 3 phone calls for him to find our place - we are NOT hard to find! Why in the year 2013 does a shuttle NOT HAVE A GPS NAVIGATOR IN THE CAR!!! WHYYY???? Even a smartphone would have located us. Also we had requested a child booster seat be provided in advance and..of course..they didn't have it when they arrived. The driver was fairly clueless, but seemed fresh off the boat so I don't blame him too much - but that doesn't say much about the company or how it wants to be perceived. I tell ya, this is the 3rd local shuttle service we tried in the san jose area and all have consistently failed to provide a simple on time pick up by a reasonably professional driver. The office desk was nice and polite. We're disappointed with the driver who is complainer. Even though he complain a lot we tip him more than enough during drop off to sfo and picking up. We left my daughter iPad because he was rushing us to go down to pick another passenger. We called him and charge us $45 dollar plus our tip and cost us over 100. He actually pick us up late in the sfo airport. Next service we would like to change driver not this person. I will let the office know when I need their services who is this driver is. read more

I used their website to reserve a ride to the airport, but was disappointed to find out the online form doesn't actually do anything. After filling out the form and hitting submit, it responded that someone would contact me within two hours. When no one called, I called the number to make the reservation. They arrived without problems in a van with more than 300,000 miles on it. I don't really mind the old vehicles as long as they get me to the airport on time, which this did. On my return trip, I was very disappointed to find they did not honor this statement from their website: "None stop private rides from and to SJC, OAK, SFO airports." When our driver found us and we were about to head to the van, he proceeded to go find another two people who had made a reservation. No one was really happy about this and the driver seemed completely clueless as to why someone would care? We just got off an 11 hour flight and no one wanted to drive around the south bay while dropping people off. If I wanted to do that, I would have gone with a cheaper shuttle service instead of paying a premium for this one. read more

But on the return flight SJ, I forgot to make an advanced reservation for a pick-up. I called them at 9:30 AM (PST) the day of our flight to request a pick-up. Our flight was due to land in SJC at 10:50 PM but left Chicago a 1/2 hour late. The Driver waited for us till Midnight with no extra charge. We had 4 people with a lot of luggage You could get to SJC by taxi for a few $'s less, but not with the amount of bag's we had. And if you hit traffic, click, click goes the meter. On a recent trip, I helped my family book a ride for 6 to & from SJ Airport. The yelp reviews at the time of booking didn't give me that much confidence but I called several places and the price was most reasonable here. The lady over the phone reassured me that they would call 1/2 hr before pickup. It was exactly as she said. They called ahead of time to confirm things and were on time. On the return trip from the Airport again they called before my family finished picking up their baggage. Very reasonable & reliable. Happy with result & would use again! read more

If i could give them a negative number i would!!! Worst customer service!! I was given a quote of $120 round trip from house to airport, from airport to house. When we arrived at the airport we gave them a card and they charge $120 to the card. (No problem). when we arrived back from the trip they picked us up. No biggy. My father wanted to give a tip. They driver charged his card and sent the amount/ confirmation to his phone. I later found out that they charged another $120 plus tip to his card. When we tired to see the confirmation info that was sent to his phone in a web address ....guess what? It didnt exist . Problem!!! We looked at the bank statment and there was the charge. Now getting to the biggest problem. Calling them!!! The first person i spoke to answered the phone like a teenager. Not professtional at all. I had to ask if it was AAA abe shuttle service. After telling her the problem she said no. that she never gave that quote. I asked for her name and her supervisors name she refeasued to give it she said " why do you need my name" i said you work for a company i want your name and your manager. She said his not in and i said i want your last name. She then finally gave me her name. Tey. I told her i want to speak to her supervisors and want their name and a direct number she then hung up on me. I called back. Spoke with a man who heard the same story i told Tey he then put me on hold after i said again i want to speak with a manager! Then vic (female) answered and she heard the same story with frustration at my end after getting the run around. Come to find out she is an assistant. NOT the manager or supervisor. She wont give me the number or send me to his voicemail either. I told her we were given a quote and then charge twice $120 for a simple ride from house to home and airport to house. Which might i add is only 7 miles away. She continued to argue with me and say that the empolyee didnt hang up. that some times the lines disconnect. Not once was there an apology given from any of people who work for this company. Im still waiting for a call back from a "supervisors". Oh and i also asked for the adress for there location and it didnt match the website adress she gave me 2175 alameda san jose( and she put me on hold for a few minutes to basicly give me a fake adress. DONT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Exclude the driver he was nice. Everything felt like it was a scam. Like the people who try and collect debt that tell you to put your money on a prepaid card. I dont usually leave yelp comments but this was a no doubt in my mind to do so. I was so thrilled to find this shuttle service as I had been using one that required hours for additional passengers on both pickup and return. This is a private shuttle and so much cheaper than the one I used that was not. They are great with communication to confirm pickups. The drivers are safe, friendly, and professional along with clean, comfortable vans. Apparently, they resolved the issue that resulted in an earlier poor review. They were prompt in emailing me with a confirmation and showed up on time, probably a little early. The driver did get me to the San Francisco airport with lots of time to spare. It was nice getting a AAA discount. The day of the ride my phone was still in block mode that early so the phone didn't ring for the 5:30AM Tuesday morning pick up. I turned the front light on at 5:20AM and just after 5:30 opened the front door to see the driver across the street. Eventually I, yes I, myself, had to go outside to get his attention. Why he didn't come to the door still baffles me. I told him I needed help with my bags. He told me he's not allowed to go inside the house. Really??? That should have been disclosed! Until then never had I hired a car that didn't take my luggage from the house to the vehicle. Did he think it was anywhere other than near the door? Who knows??? Now I'm getting silently stressed. I finally convinced him to get the bags I was unable to transport to the porch perch, no less to cross the street to his vehicle!. How embarrassing to have to explain to this stranger why I cannot lift heavy items but I was desperate! [If he took one step inside, it was a lot.] By the time we got going he started complaining that he had to get back to San Jose. Was he pre-empting the high speed chase to SFO? I made it there in one piece, but barely because I was a nervous wreck. I tried to avoid looking at the speedometer when I saw it go above 85 miles per hour. My only thought was thank goodness I didn't have children with me. I did not feel safe on the road with this driver and was beyond relieved to exit the vehicle. I had already bundled up the cash along with the tip. I just wanted to get out and calm my nerves before getting on an airplane so he ended up with a sizeable tip. Ride at your own risk. read more

We called them to let them know our flight time had changed the day before and they said don't worry, we'll check the flight time. We called from the airport, got an answering machine and asked where they were. Never got a call back and it's 5 days later. Had to take a taxi. read more

I have used AAA Abe Express Shuttle a few times for shuttle service to SFO. My recent experience was great as usual. Home pickup was on time. My return flight to SFO was 30 minutes. As soon as I turned on my cell phone in the plane after landing, the driver called me to inform me that he was already there. Luckily the customs and baggage claim went quickly, so I didn't have to keep the driver waiting too long. I will definitely use AAA Abe Express Shuttle again. read more
