My son was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident Sept. 11, 2019 just 6 days to his 20th bday. The Marines came to my door to tell me he was gone from this world. There's no words to express the pain I felt that night. "It's not fair!" I cried, "it should've been me!" After two weeks of waiting for his body to arrive we had a military funeral for him. After the funeral and burial in a private cemetery, we went home so I can rest. I also bought extra lots for all my family in case. And he was in this grave, with his beautiful bronze marker to mark the grave and his picture is on it in color showing him in dress blues...my first Marine in our family. I spent months with my mental health doctors and many medications to keep me somewhat sane and alive...I didn't get better...holidays were the worst. But as I began to get better I realized I had to speak to a lawyer to find out why he died and why the other person's insurance, Progressive, didn't want to pay me anything. I was involved in a 3 car collision on the 405 north freeway on a heavily rainy day. I was hit head on by a hyandi that was clipped by a PT Cruiser and was spun around 360 degrees and hit the center divider; ended up facing toward traffic on the freeway. I was in complete shock when I realized I was in an accident and my car was totaled. The transmission was blown, and my front of the car was smashed in and the back bumper was bent.
