i very rarely write a complaint letter, but i wrote this to a1mirrors and didnt get a response! I eventually received my mirror last night at gone 8pm by the fitters (nice guys by the way and the mirror looks really, really good). However, the whole process of buying a mirror from A1 Mirrors has been less than adequate. I have had a bathroom to finish renovating and wanted to get it completed back in May when I first contacted A1-Mirrors. I wanted to get the room finished for many reasons, family were using the flat in my absence while on holiday, I had electricians booked into to put items on the wall, which required the mirror to be installed first and finally my girlfriend was moving in with me a few weeks later. When I first had your fitters come round to measure up, they stated a 10 day delivery timescale, which would've been perfectly with my schedule and being able to finish the bathroom. My own experience and obviously reading other people's experiences on the internet has proven that this 10 day turn-around time is not accurate in the slightest. I unfortunately had the added bonus of having 1 of my mirrors being cut incorrectly, so I was left with half the wall without a mirror and then having to wait another lengthy time period to get the correct sized mirror re-issued. I think the main issue here is A1-Mirrors are not being truthful with their customers, if you had told me it would be approaching 6 7 weeks when I first ordered, I may well still have ordered, but I would have been prepared for it. The problem really lies at the customer service end, which I noticed you have given yourselves a 'winner' award for customer service excellence I would advise that needs reviewing. Getting through to communicate with A1-Mirrors has been a bit of a nightmare, no one is on the phone and the accuracy of information customers services has provided in terms of delivery times etc., has been well off. I was informed that my delivery was on a morning schedule yesterday, I ended up basing my whole day around the fact that the mirror was going to be arriving in the morning; when the mirror didn't arrive in the morning, I tried to contact A1-Mirrors, I left messages with a guy at your firm who said you (Anthony) would call back and never heard anything. Eventually at 7:45pm last night the fitters phoned me to say they were 15 minutes away and would it be ok to deliver the mirror. Again, it wasn't a problem to have the mirror delivered then, but I had waited around all day and wondered if you were coming to deliver it all. Now, I am not expecting a reply to this email, as I didn't get a reply to most of my concerns yesterday, but if you can take anything away from this, please try to improve your customer service and give people accurate lead times AND BE AVAILABLE ON THE PHONE OR EMAIL PROMPTLY. You have a good product and the fitters seemed genuinely nice guys, the whole service is being let down massively by poor customer service and inaccurate information to customers. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is being promised a delivery and then having no-one on the end of a phone or replying to email to let you know any more information. For this reason, I cannot recommend A1-Mirrors to anyone I know and I am very unlikely to use you in the future for my homes or my business. All because of poor customer service and inaccurate information provided. WORST company I've ever dealt with. Take calls & say they'll call back but never do. I'm in month 3 of waiting for my mirror they were quick enough to take my money though. Avoid these guys!!!! I'm updating my review in the interests of fairness. A1 were difficult to deal with and my mirror took 4 months to arrive and was flawed when it came. However they did give me a 70% refund on the mirror and I think on balance that was decent and fair. I'd advise you take some precautions when ordering. Ask for clarification on every point, will the materials used deliver a distorted reflection, will there be scratches, what is reasonable as an expectation of communication from the supplier should the item look like being delivered late. I don't think they meant any harm, just eager to sell, but if I'd known the answers to those questions from the outset I would have been significantly less frustrated. I suspect I just ordered something that was too difficult to do and that really these are decent people who just bit off a bit more than they could chew in respect of my job. read more

i placed 3 orders with a1 mirrors and spent over £700 the first order i placed was ordered on the 8th of may 2013 and as not yet arrived to date 13 june, the second and third order did arrive which confuses me because they were placed a week later than the first order and arrived within two weeks, i have constantly emailed and telephoned a1 mirrors, and keep getting diverted to a third party answering service who say they know nothing and will pass on my complaint, but no one calls, i had a standard computer email answer pointing out that 1, they do not give updates on delivery, 2, you cannot cancel your order or get a refund, 3 you can only get a refund if you have a delivery date in writing, which i have asked for and recieved no reply! i feel i am being avoided communication, they said when i placed the order two weeks max!, then said the order had been damaged, then promised me a date to deliver 3 days before the opening of our new shop, this didnt happen they have let us down and ruined our opening day they avoid you once you have paid read more

Buyer beware! Please be extremely careful before placing an order with this company. They took an order for MIRRORS from us in 2012 and, in every email, we made the point of our order being for MIRRORS. The company, being called 'A1 Mirrors', were reputed to be suppliers of mirrors. On there website they mention mirrors everywhere. The biggest surprise for us when the order (worth more than £2000) came delivered to us, by the OWNER of 'A1 Mirrors', was (unbelievably) CLEAR GLASS!!! After much debate about the purpose of clear glass panels for an indoor exercise area for horses (the OWNER of the firm suggesting that we might have ordered it as a covering for the existing MIRRORS he noticed upon his delivery!!!). They have refused point blank to replace the GLASS, as requested by the Trading Standards Authority. They have used many excuses for the CLEAR error on their part and have proved to have a very unreliable way of doing business. read more

Absolutely shocking company to deal with. Ordered and paid for some custom acrylic mirrors over 2 monts ago and still have nothing. The sales department will not accept phonecalls so it a has to be done via e-mail. After 12+ e-mail chasing my delivery, I was told I would receive it on 30th May nothing arrived and despite 10+ further e-mail, I have not even had a response. Avoid this company at all costs. We are now registering with Money Claim Online to get our money back. Disgusting service. Update 14/6/13 got a call a few hours after my review apologising and promising delivery on or before today NOTHING DELIVERED AGAIN!!!!!!! Absolutely shocking how this company lies to its customers. You wait at home all day for a delivery and it doesn't show up. Very poor customer service and no communication. Yet another firm promoting itself heavily via Google but unable to fulfil its service promise. A1 Mirrors set up a delivery date and confirmed that the product would arrive between 9 and 5. I called three times and was reassured that it would arrive needless to say it didn't. The company has a helpful sales staff but it doesn't have the correct systems and processes in place to fulfil its orders effectively. I would not recommed this company, go elsewhere. UPDATE I've just called again to arrange re-delivery, spoke to the receptionist she tells me that there is no one in from Customer Service on Fridays! Well, that says it all. read more

Chose this company as my bathroom installers preferred vendor were not able to supply in the required timeframe, unfortunately A1 took almost a week to issue a quotation despite being chased, the quotation was incorrect and again further chasing was required to get it updated. Once order was placed and required timeframe reinforced I had been told that there is no chance of delivery in the required time leaving us somewhat stuck for planning the mirror installation, however I have since been called by A1's managing director so credit for a good follow up and some hope that we can still get delivery as orignally hoped for. read more

I've just seen the review left by the last post and felt that the service I had received from this company was very good. The sales team were on hand to answer any of my questions and, just like the reviewer below, my mirror was put on the wall with adhesive. I spoke with the company before attempting to install the mirror and was told it had to sit on a ledge whilst the adhesive dried. I followed the recommendation and now my mirror looks beautiful in my new bathroom. I suppose you can't please everyone! But from my experience, I will be recommending you to my friends and family without a doubt. read more

I live local to this company and wanted a replacement mirror for my bathroom so I actually went to their premises to get my mirror. I didn't pre-order so I was able to see my mirror being made from an unbelievably huge sheet and couldn't believe how it just cuts like paper. My mirror was then taken away to have the edges polished which I wasn't able to see. I was really impressed by the care the staff had for my mirror, you could see how thoughtful they were. The guys cleaned the mirror and left it gleaming and now looks great in my bathroom. I would recommend them to my friends and family. read more

A1 Mirrors, Bolton A1 Mirrors are happy to get back to you from their website's 'live help' tab - so long as they think you are about to place a new order and pay online upfront. My experience is that they do not then respond to phone calls or emails. I ordered an acrylic mirror in May and they got back to me so I could pay over the phone. The mirror has not arrived (August), and they do not respond to phone or email messages. I tried to order a further mirror the other day from a different email address and guess what they phoned back within the hour to take a payment! read more

I was very impressed with the service I recevied by the staff at this company. They were very friendly and their advice made sure I went with the right option, which thankfully saved me a lot of hassle. I ordered a made to measure/cut to size mirror for my bathroom and the quality of the mirror was fantastic - I certainly won't be buying another cheap mirror from Ikea! I was very impressed with their prices and there was a whole range to choose from their website. Although the price for the mirrors I ordered was competativem I did ask for assurance around delivery date as it was very important to the bathroom project underway. Despite what the small print says, I was asured that I would receive the mirrors and approx 10 working days, which was perfect. I placed the order with that assurance or I woud have gone elsewhere. We recently ordered 19 mirrors for our new build , from the start of the project to end we found A1 Mirrors to be give fantastic service. They designed custom mirrors for us as well as standard bathroom mirrors , we were kept informed all the way, delivery and installation was fast and efficient. We did decide on paying a tiny bit higher than competitors because we wanted the service element, of which we received. I wish all companies could give me this level of service. I placed an order for a mirror and was told 5-7 working days. That was over 2 weeks ago and when trying to ascertain how much longer I will have to wait, my phone calls have been ignored and so have my emails. I could have used a local company but would have had to wait 2-3 weeks. As it turns out, it looks like I will have to wait longer. Received my mirror yesterday after ordering on Friday the 1st march. amazing delivery service, i did not realize they delivered themselves. they were very helpful when delivering my mirror as i have a broken arm and i am unable to carry the mirror upstairs myself, from point of order to delivery i have been most satisfied i cannot fault the service thank you A1 mirrors for all your help. I have never left a review before but I am thoroughly disappointed with this company. They do not deliver on time. They do not call you back. They are rude and they are difficult. I would pay the extra for someone else and be happy with the service. I am still waiting for my mirrors and don't think I will get them. After searching a few websites I eventually found A1 Mirrors and found them to be very competitive in terms of pricing. The mirror was just I wanted and was delivered quickly. Communication from A1 Mirrors was very good I was called the day before my order arrived, 1 hour before and received a follow up call to check I was happy with the mirror after delivery. read more
