You cannot try clothes on in this shop as they closed the changing room during the pandemic and…read morenever opened it again. This now seems to be because the manager is paranoid about the risk of shoplifting. However they must lose a lot of sales precisely because there is no changing room. They say that you can try at home and return goods if they don't fit but you have to return within a week, which is sometimes difficult if you are working or live out of town. This is not a policy in all St Luke's shops - indeed most, if not all of their other shops let you try things on before you buy. I mentioned this to the manager of the Saltash shop and she became quite verbally aggressive towards me. A very arrogant woman whose attitude must deter a lot of people from ever returning there again, which is a pity because this charity needs and deserves all the support it can get.
