Several days afterward noticed that my dashboard had a message saying that I again needed oil. So I returned there and they said that they had written it (in small print) on the receipt. I would have thought that any reputable business who values its customers would have pointed this out VERBALLY i.e. discussed it with them! (especially a woman!) I usually throw my receipts into my purse after paying and don't really look at them. I then took it to a real repair shop and it turned out to need quite extensive repairs on the gaskets and oil parts. I don't mind paying the very high bill for the second repair, but I do not feel that I should have to pay for the first one, which was totally ineffective, since the repairs needed were beyond their scope and required another repair immediately after. I asked him for a refund but he said "I can't." I really feel entitled to a refund since they SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME TO MY FACE. Instead, I was left with a major problem that I had (wrongly) assumed had been fixed. Also the guy drove my car with the emergency brake on despite the pinging sound. Then he did it again on the way out! and which may have damaged it. Another guy told me there was nothing wrong with my car even though it was leaking like a sieve!
