I purchased restaurant quality big beautiful cookie sheet, roasting pan With handles, ladles (with safety handles) , perfect for homemade chili, tongs you can't find in Walmart or Target & for 80% cheaper then the chunky 1s I've settled for at them sort of stores! I replaced all our spatulas, our deep frying utensils for well made 1s again better & way cheaper, who can say that in this economy?! No Sale , no gimmick, just their every day prices! In the end I bought 17 items high end durable wonderful kitchen items for Under $70.00 that if I bought cheap comparable at Walmart would have cost me easily $250.00 Best part of shopping here is the staff !! Kind, helpful, and if you are Lucky enough to meet Lenny you'll feel Blessed and I guarantee he will Brighten your day, make you smile and in our case, share a Laugh. Worst and unprofessional business I have ever dealt with ! You will regret this company !

A-Z has a giant selection of new and refurbished restaurant stuff, a short drive from the metro. I've been wanting to stop in for a long time. I've seen some of their listings on Craigslist. Now that my wife and I are ready to buy, we actually stopped-in. We're small-time buyers, not restaurant owners. We only want a T49 True 2-door freezer to match our T49 True 2-door refrigerator. We're also looking for a 6-burner Vulcan or Wolf commercial gas range. So...we told them right off the bat that we're just small time residential buyers. But they treated us like Royalty. In particular, Kent was AWESOME and incredibly KNOWLEDGEABLE. He spent a lot of time helping us. He also educated us about some potential issues with residential installations. We were completely oblivious until we talked to Kent! There's a giant outside yard in back with hundreds of stainless steel sinks, tables, racks, etc. Pretty cool. Purchased a pair of "stainless steel" wire shelves out of their "Stainless Steel" shelving website section. Picked them up, got them home, and found out they're actually green not chrome or stainless. Not mentioned on the website or in person at time of sale. Called store about this and was given no option for a return/refund, and staff was nearly belligerent about not being able to get their website updated to reflect this amount of information, stating that equipment turnover was really high, and this item hadn't been available in anything but green for 15 years. So 15 years is too long to post a website update? Less than impressed. read more

Great store if you like to browse around restaurant equipment. They have a lot of new and used equipment at what appeared to be decent prices. Also they have a little area up front for the home cook who needs some sheet pans, balloon whisks or that occasional 100 quart stock pot. We walked out with a mountable bottle opener and a cheese slicer. read more

They have a ton of restaurant supplies (from menus to ice cream counters). It's a bit chaotic, a long drive, checkout takes forever, there aren't always prices, but if you enjoy the hunt and are remotely a foodie (wanna be or actual) you will love this place. read more

I was consulting with a start up food company. They had the compressor and heat exchangers for a medium sized walk in freezer, but not the freezer box. I did a quick search of the internet and found that A to Z Restaurant Supply in Princeton had a freezer box that seemed perfect. I printed off the web page and drove to their store. The salesman was pleasant, professional and courteous. The information from the printed web page was helpful in that it quickly let him determine that the freezer box in question was last inventoried in 2011 and apparently their IT department is so incompetent that the web site is 8 years out of date. And they had no freezer boxes available at all. I was somewhat less than totally thrilled to find I drove 90 miles one way to not buy anything from them. But I did buy a lottery ticket at the local gas station and if I win millions it will be because the sales clerk pushed the button at the right millisecond and that could have only happened because of my disappointing experience with A to Z. So I am giving them 2 stars on the off chance that I might win the lottery. read more

Placed an order for a hood after pricing similar hoods over the internet. The price seemed good, but the hood that arrived did not have the fan, curb, and other parts to actually use it. When I spoke to the salesman, he told that was all I ordered. In the end, I ended up paying $700-1000 more than if I had ordered online. Will not do business with them again. read more

I was looking for heavy duty shelving so I went to the A to Z website and found new shelves advertised for $70. Seemed like a good deal so I drove to the store. When I arrived and asked about the advertised shelves for $70 the salesman instead, tried to sell me a used, rusted, 4 tier shelf on caster wheels for $160! I told him I wasn't interested and wanted to see the new shelves for $70. "Those prices are wrong." was his reply. I told him if the prices are wrong, then they should be removed from the website. He then replied with, "We have nothing to do with what's on the website." This is the clearest case of false advertising ever and had I fallen for this scam I would be contacting the Minnesota Attorney Generals office to file a complaint. Yes, this is my very first review on Yelp and my claims are of a serious nature so please don't take my word for it. Go to the website and look for yourself. The shelves I speak of are still being advertised today. Shame on you A to Z! How many other products are being falsely advertised on your website so you can lure customers to your store only to try and sell them junk? Who knows but the public consumer isn't as stupid as you may think. read more
