We were 2 couples, and my friend…read moreBob was correct in that this sort of arrangement together was better than booking a hotel and retreating to our individual hotel rooms each night. As such, we all had a great time together of which this VRBO enhanced our experience. At the same time, there was sticker shock, as on top of the per night charge was a host fee, service fee, and sales tax. The add-ons came to about 50% of the per night rate. Once I got that out of the way, the house was handsome, well maintained, roomy, modern, immaculate, and comfortable and in a great highly walkable (to the Plaza) location. Gayle and I slept well in our room, with lots of storage, and featuring a strong hot shower. It was great for the 4 of us to get together in the common areas, including the living room and the outdoor patio with fire pit. In fact one night we sat out there for hours over pizza and beer and chatted the evening away. The Kitchen was well appointed, although the "coffee maker" mentioned in the listing was actually a Keurig coffee pod machine. A few opportunities for improvement: WIFI didn't really work as it dropped in and out frequently and when it was on, it was weak at best. Bob had planned to do some work during our time together and came up a bit short there. The rest of us just used cellular. I also wish there was a little more product available in the shower, of which we supplemented thanks to a nearby CVS. I'll give this experience 5 Stars (despite the nits) as it helped make our long Santa Fe Weekend convenient, safe, and special. Gayle and I will be coming back next year and we'll look Two Casitas over again, while keeping aware of the pricing components (including alternatives), location, and WiFi.

Our experience was so positive that we have already worked with Richard and Leslie to secure next spring's rental. We found Casa Linde (now off market, I believe) to combine the amenities of a comfortable, well equipped, and nicely decorated home with those expected at a fine hotel. Richard and Leslie are very engaging and very responsive, and we appreciated their thoughtfulness in the preparations that made the house such a welcoming place in Santa Fe. I accidentally booked the wrong dates but Mary Ann was super nice and helped me fix the dates and also moved them to a slightly larger casita. Bonus - they allow dogs! Was given a phone number to call and fortunately the manager at home was still awake. We were in a unit with electronic combination front door lock and able to get in Two story townhouse timeshare with upstairs loft. Usually not fond of upstairs loft as noise from TV downstairs can filter upstairs and wife usually goes to bed several hours after me. Other problem is dozen plus stairs with no landing leading up stairs . This was not too bad as bathrooms on both upstairs and downstairs. Lavishly furnished townhouse unit with fully equipped kitchen separate living room separate dining room and upstairs bedroom with washer dryer facilities. Fireplace, but no air conditioning but swamp coolers, and cross breeze throughout the unit in the afternoons. Whole foods a 10 minute walk away. Each Wednesday and Saturday walked 10 minutes to Farmers market to pick up over ripened peaches in the railyard district. Daily we walked 20 minutes to the downtown Old Santa Fe plaza area to restaurants and museums. Not advised to do this midday in the summer as few trees for cover in Santa Fe. One drawback is that the complex townhouses is accessible only by way of a one-way Street going south to North making it a circuitous route to access by car from the north where all the main streets are. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and would come in except no openings available through RCI, it's that popular a place. And it was only available the week that the Crowdstrike disruption occurred.

It is quiet, private and safe, but there are no common amenities such as pool, hot tub, firepit, etc. Our 2 bedroom unit was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The design is consistent with Santa Fe architecture. Parking at the condo is free. Location is an easy walk to the railyard complex and state capitol, a little farther to the Plaza and museums, but the terrain is flat and walking is usually faster than driving. Closer to the Plaza, traffic is abundant and parking is scarce. Overall, Las Brisas is a homey environment for a visit to Santa Fe which we greatly preferred to a hotel stay. Our unit was spotlessly clean and well equipped for as many as 6 guests. The decor was appropriate to an historic city. One potential pitfall is that checkin time is listed as 4:00 pm, the same time that the office closes for the day. It is important to call or email the office in advance to get "after hours" checkin instructions.

From the moment you arrive, it's impossible to not be transported to a place of peace, tranquility and joy. Multiple decks to see the stunning views. A pool, hot tub, and sauna. A yoga room!!! Great if you already have a practice and can use facilities on your own, but we also found it was very reasonable to just hire a teacher from Santa Fe to come up for a private lesson. Hiking right outside your door. Every bedroom (plus the cabin!) is set up perfectly to make you feel like a VERY ZEN queen/king. Watch the sunrise and the sunset over the mountains, while you swing on the front swings. Eat dinner under the stars or in the formal dining room. The choices are endless at Rass Mandal. The experience of this house unlocked possibilities, I'm not even kidding! It is a ways up the mountain road-- so not for people who really wan ot be in the center of twon. But we really had no trouble getting to town when we wanted to go out and explore. Mostly though you'll want to stay in, trust me! :) Also Richard is the nicest. Very helpful and the entire process was overall easy. Enjoy your stay at Rass Mandal!!

MICE - we found mice had been a problem for a while based on droppings. 2. We had to walk through the 3rd bedroom to get to the 4th bedroom. (Adobe has since updated their website to reflect this.) 3. A water pipe burst in the 4th bedroom bath. We had no water for 24 hours. We mopped up water for nearly an hour before we could find the turn off valve. 4. Wi-Fi was unreliable. 5. Dish TV did not work. 6. Air flow in 4th bedroom was very poor. Most of these issues were not the fault of Adobe Destinations. They did, however, give us a 10% refund, but all of us felt this was insufficient. Note - we submitted a review to Adobe Destinations, but needless to say, they have not posted it on their website. We enjoyed Santa Fe. But, I would not ever recommend this property to anyone.

Contacted Adobe Destinations and spoke with Marilyn. Explained the situation -- that we needed place for two to three months, maybe longer. And that we had two cars. And pets. Marilyn was wonderful. While on the phone, we went to the website. She "showed" us several properties online that would meet our needs. She gave additional info about each property. We decided on a charming casita. The application and payment process was painless. Communication prior to our arrival was good. Check-in went smoothly. And the casita was indeed charming. And efficient. Many amenities like nightlights, a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and linens, a washer/dryer, cable, internet, room for two cars in the driveway, and a great "welcome" binder that told us all we needed to know. We only had one issue. One evening, the power went out on one wall, affecting the television and internet. I couldn't find a circuit breaker box in the house, and it was dark outside. And it was a Friday after hours. I called the number. The answering service took my information. Within an hour, Patrick called. He walked me through finding the circuit breaker box. I used a flashlight, as the box was around the back of the house. And fixed the problem in a minute. Elaine in the office was an angel in many ways. We couldn't be more pleased with the service and the property. I highly recommend Adobe Destinations.

In trying to book a place, the response had been slow and typical for this area...no one answers the phone, or is very slow to respond with complete answers to any form of communication. To say the owner is vague in her answers to questions is an insult to vagueness. There are hidden fees in addition to the rental fee; during and after cleaning. Isn't that kind of what you're already paying for? Mandatory insurance??? Paying up front is a little iffy, unreasonable cancellation policy, but you can buy cancellation insurance from them! (another hidden fee). If you read the fine print you are agreeing to be responsible for pretty much the whole place and all it's contents, even if it was burglarized, even if the damage isn't your fault. Not sure I would give these people my credit card number. So much of Santa Fe has these temporary rentals, a few people making Santa Fe a giant transient community for profit.
