We brought my 4 year old son into A+ Urgent Care because we suspected he had strep throat and our pediatrician's office was closed for the day. My son really dislikes going to the doctors. And as soon as he realized we were there for him, he starting crying and doing everything he could to leave. But Victoria, one of the nurses at A+, was wonderful with my son. She was able to engage him like one of his teachers from daycare. It really helped. And when we got to see the doctor, Doctor Louis was just as great. They really went out of their way to try to put my son at ease, made him laugh and made the experience as painless as possible. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my son back. And as it turns out my son did have strep throat. Doctor Louis was able to take a squab of his throat and had the strep results within 5-10 minutes. read more

Total DISGRACE!! Wish I could give 0 stars. This place is in a need of serious training and a proper investigation. By the way, expect to get a bill for COVID test for $450!! I got there 15min before they opened at 9AM, and there were about 10 people in front of me waiting, the lady took everyone's phone numbers and told me to come back in 2hours. I arrived 2 hours later and got a text it will be another 1 hour. Not great, but I really I don't want to complain about this because I know they were probably understaffed and this doesn't really affect my review. First, when I was called in and was filling out 5 forms, a lady came in with an elderly man (I think it was her dad, but not 100% sure, very old looking), and she said she wanted to do COVID test and that he had cancer and asked if there is anything that could be done to expedite this. The woman at the counter just coldly said no and to get in line. Whatever happened to our medical professionals having some compassion? Next, I finally made it into exam room. The doctor was very quick to come in and told me to sit down. Being always cautious of germs I asked if it would be ok to stand, to which he angrily replied no, you must sit down. I complied but already sensed this was not great start. Then the doctor asked me why I was here (which was to do COVID test) and then if I was vaccinated. I politely asked him if it is required for me to disclose this to do the test and he said no, so I said I would prefer not to say. He then said, you must tell me and then again I politely asked him if I don't tell him will he refuse the test and then he immediately snapped. When I mean snapped I mean he started yelling at me to get out of the office!! He rushed out to the corridor without even giving me a second to respond and yelled to the nurse to call police. I thought I was in a movie. This is how our medical professionals behave? I was literally in shock and really scared, and this all happened within few seconds, him constantly yelling at me, and repeating that this was his office and his rules. I have never been so embarrassed in my life and was literally scared. What did I do wrong, just asked a question? All I was trying to understand was if I have to disclose this or not. Finally, I told him I was not vaccinated and had to beg him to please allow me to get the test and finally he came back and did the swab. Now this incident from beginning to end literally happened in a span of maybe a minute, leaving no time for me to even react and leaving me in a state of shock! I have never experienced this type of behavior, god knows how this person treats people who are in real urgent care! I understand everyone has very strong opinions about vaccines, I would of hoped for some courtesy and compassion but this person certainly has none. I always want to give people benefit of a doubt and perhaps this person has been very stressed but this is not the right way to treat people. It is shameful! Further, I was told I would get my results end of day, nothing came. Next day I called, on hold for hours no one picked up. Next day I called at least 10 times finally got through and was told they could not even find me in the system. Only when I complained they "magically" found my results. Final cherry on top, separate visit there, my son received $450 bill for the COVID test - insurance covered $325 and I have to pay remaining $125.. whatever happened to free tests??? Awesome experience! We met with Dr. Ajay Jetley who was not only professional, but very sensitive to us and our specific needs. I brought my 2.5yr old to see him. A believer in giving medication only when truly needed, we talked of the options, the plan and decided together on how to proceed! It was really a great doctor/patient/patient mom experience!! I would absolutely recommend Dr. Jetley! And don't forget to check in; you definitely want to high five this doc! And by the way, as a board certified Emergency Medicine trained physician, there was no such thing as wait. We spent at least 45 minutes in there, where 30 minutes was with the doc. This place does not answer the phone and advertises that they are taking walkins and no appointment. I have a 6 month old baby that I had to find a sitter for to drive over for the advertised (on their phone recording) walkin appointment. I drive there needing medical attention and was turned away because I wasn't on their appointment list. Are you f****** kidding me! Change YOUR message so people don't go out of their way to waste their time. Never going back to this place. This was my first visit to A+ Urgent Care. My intake was done by Seher, a PA, who then conferred with Cathi, a nurse practitioner, regarding my symptoms. They were very thorough, friendly, and professional as was JoAnn who did my chest x-ray. I am always impressed when a medical team listens to the patient. So many are condescending- but not here. Recently had need for a doctor, and since all of mine are in New York City, I decided to give A-1 Urgent Care a shot. It was a good choice. The support staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. I was dealt with promptly and efficiently. The doctors I saw were excellent. They asked a lot of questions, followed up on my responses, and came up with an action plan, and called a prescription into my pharmacy. I called at 4:45pm Saturday night (6/1/19) and said my wife was rushing over with my 3 year old daughter who was complaining of a sore throat. They close at 5pm. I asked if the doctor could wait 2 extra minutes to see her. The person on the phone was not very nice and said they would only stay until 5pm. She pulled up at 4:59 and the front door was locked and they would not answer when knocked. I understand it's a Saturday night and people are tired from working. Unprofessional service and over charged for a service that they couldnt even handle. When we got there we asked if they do suturing and they said they did . So we decided to fill out paper work. We were literally only there for 15 mins ( mostly because of the paper work) once in the exam room Jennifer PA looked at the wound and was not able to suture the wound that she saw. So we went to the hospital ,which we should have done. ( regreting very much that we ended up making this stop instead of going straight to the hospital) because we were there they decided to give the Tetanus shot. Honestly we were just waiting for the bill to come and today Lisa from the office calls very unpleasantly telling us the bill was not paid. It was her attitude regarding the situation that got me upset. She really needs to learn her basic communication stills .. she does not know how to talk to people at all. Very surprised that a person like her works at a profession that deals with sick people . As a medical field profession myself couldnt believe how she handled a simple situation. She was very condescending to the point where I was so angry that I ended up yelling with her regarding the issue that was a simple misunderstanding regarding the bill. They are nice but terribly run. Without running any labs or being seen by an MD (a nurse came in with a nursing student to diagnose my throat) my insurance got billed $600+. Without any idea what I had threw antibiotics at it and told me to buy OTC meds and off they sent me. Why did I go in? We are grateful to Dr. Desai and his staff for their kind and courteous treatment in a stressful situation. I went with friend who had just arrived from overseas with abdominal pain, so he was a walk-in patient. He was seen immediately by Dr. Desai, the pain dealt with and a pathway for confirming diagnosis was quickly established. Dr. Desai answered questions clearly. A+ is a fairly new establishment. We went to A+ this evening for a laceration from a kitchen knife - we knew it needed medical attention. We got to the clinic and were directed immediately to an exam room, and Dr. Jetley came in right afterwards. He was personable, knowledgeable, and compassionate. He explained in great detail what he wanted to do, and walked us through every step. We couldn't have been done any faster and on our way home before we knew it. My mom went there last week. The staff were SUPER RUDE. Yes, I understand, we went there near closing time and I do understand that they were annoyed that we went late, however, it was an URGENT situation. It's called URGENT care for a reason.
