We used another service during our Thanksgiving vacation and two days in a row the sitter was a no-show, while we were hundreds of miles away creating a stressed-out vacation experience. Thankful to say, our sitter Mikayla not only showed up every day as scheduled, but she also sent updates via email for each visit per our request. Three times each day we got an update on Molly along with a couple of photos. Laura and the team made it super easy to get set up, to schedule the visits, and the overall experience was wonderful. Is Laura more expensive than the other service we used previously? Yes. Was she worth the extra costs? Absolutely. The peace of mind knowing that Mikayla was there each day and providing the updates created a stress-free vacation. We will be using their services again in the future.

The answer was she is a rescue so maybe she has a head injury, well you would think that test would be done to find out if that was the case, but no. I had to ask for an MRI which showed nothing wrong in the brain. I asked if they could do a lower extremity MRI/XRAY, etc. They did not feel it was necessary They kept our poor baby on multiple anti-seizure medications without investigating the issue that was causing the seizures. Long story short, Lily woke up one Sunday acting very ill. We took her to the animal ER and the vet found cancer of the spine which had spread due to being undetected. We had to put her down. It was awful. She was my soul dog! I miss her so much. Also, we had a cat that was a feral cat that we rescued, he had feline aids. He began to get sick and we kept asking what the prognosis was and each time getting an encouraging report that he would be okay. He ended up losing so much weight, he looked emaciated and Pine Ridge told us he would need to be hospitalized there for a couple of days which was a couple of thousand dollars. We had no problem paying the money if the prognosis was truly positive. Two days after the hospitalization he was still terribly sick. We asked the staff again if he was going to recover fully because he had lost so much weight and if he was in pain. They told us we should probably put him down. You mean to tell me they didn't know that two days prior? We had literally paid so much money to this clinic and the care for our beautiful pets was not a good experience. I hope that this review will be used for the staff to reframe their thought process their protocol and communications with patients and the sweet animals they care for every day. I hope they listen to the owners of their pets. Usually, owners have a good sense when things are wrong.

Pet Paradise let us drop each of our dogs off for a free trial run to make sure they got along with the staff and were ok while at the kennel. Needless to say, despite our fur parent nerves, they were both good boys who enjoyed their time there. We have since dropped them off numerous times ranging from a few nights to over a week. The come back exhausted from all the play time with other pups and spoiled with treats. We also opt in for them to get a bath each time so they come back to us smelling fresh. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. They offer extra add ons like daily emails, pictures, go-pro, video in room, etc. We only did the daily email the first few times, but once we realized they were comfortable and doing fine there we stopped that as well. I recommend bringing your fur babies here and know that they are in good hands.

They even played dress up and watched Christmas movies. There is no one else we would trust to watch our dog Henry. He's like our child and we love him so much. She understands and takes excellent care of him every time. She also doesn't watch other dogs while she's watching your dog. She has her own two dogs and they are very gentle and playful. Henry loves visiting them and having a puppy vacation.

I make the drive from St Pete to Orlando because this is the only place I completely trust with my dogs. In July of 2024 I decided to make the training investement with both. I knew the mad skills and talents that Lexi & Tai have with dogs and both of mine needed the professional assistance. I enrolled them both together. Archie, is an incredibly stubborn 6 year old husky and Pongo is my overly excited, talking 10 month old Husky. They blend well together but they are not everyone's cup of tea! I trusted these two and their team and they did wonders with compassion, patience and professionalism! My dogs are the core of my world, so as most dog owners I worry how others treat my dogs when away. Lexi would touch in almost everyday, she communicated reports with honesty on progress & she let me know when a post of their training was hitting the social so I could feel better being apart. Recently, when I had to evacuate from St Pete during both of these recent hurricanes to Orlando, the team took them right in and explained to me the precautions and procedures they would be taking with them. This team even stayed overnight during the storms! Talk about going the extra mile. Lexi is amazing at communication and I still ask her questions about training because it's an everyday practice here with my two! Tai radiates love when he talks to the dogs. The staff is very professional, clean, organized and educates you on the different packages/pricing & knows your dog! Also they take great photography of the dogs! (photo of the work added!) Whisker Park took him in without an appointment, right before closing, and handled the whole thing with genuine warmth and empathy. The facility is immaculate and clearly designed with cats in mind. The staff -- especially Mimi and Beth -- went above and beyond to make Caspian feel at home, even accommodating his somewhat particular eating schedule without any fuss. We also took advantage of their grooming services: Caspian got a full groom and dematting, and he's been moving so much more comfortably since. He seemed completely at ease, which tells me everything. We're already planning to bring him back for his next grooming. Both the ladies I deal with are straight to the point and I appreciate that. The shop is clean and doesn't have that wet dog funk you usually find at mom and pop shops. The outside has ample parking shares with a few other businesses. I also noticed that they board (babysit) lots of small dogs and the owner has them trained to be good babies. (Although, I'm pretty sure they are good babies regardless.) The $8 price (each) was great for the trimming after just paying $20 rip-off at the Sanford Animal clinic. I especially love that they are open on Saturdays really early! Go and support this awesome local small business!
