Fringe Hair & Nail Studio - I had a time glazed used on my hair for the first time yesterday. My hair is shiny, bright and feels much healthier!

I went to Fringe for the first time yesterday, and Bri washed, cut, and styled my very neglected…read morehair. I LOVE the results! I haven't had my hair done properly in so long. I experienced some stress-induced hair loss, and it's been regrowing, and is just generally awkward, and I've avoided anything with it because I've been embarrassed by how it looked. It needed some serious attention, and Bri was so wonderful, reassuring, and accommodating. I don't know anything about hair styling, which usually makes me nervous in these situations, but Bri asked me lots of clarifying questions about what I wanted, and how I planned to do my hair regularly, and what I wanted to avoid. Bri walked me through options, and took time to figure out what made sense for me, and fixed my long-neglected hair so that it now feels fresh and healthy. I highly recommend Fringe and Bri!

I am posting this because I have reached out to the salon twice with no response. I moved to the…read moreEast Shore a few years ago and chose Fringe Salon and my stylist, Mark, based on good reviews. It had been a good experience until about a year ago; lately, the vibe has been off and the conversation has become mostly one-sided. However, my most recent visit was completely unacceptable. I paid nearly $60 for a haircut, but instead of a professional service, I spent 45 minutes being forced to listen to Mark talk about himself. I heard all about every place he's gone snorkeling and why the sand is different in different locations--all while he made maybe 6 or 7 actual cuts to my hair. Because he was so distracted by his own stories, he put zero effort into the finish. He didn't even try to style or dry it properly, leaving my thin, shoulder-length hair completely flat to my head. When you spend that much money, you expect to walk out feeling good, not like you just paid to be an audience for a travel monologue. It was unprofessional, and since the salon won't return my messages, I won't be returning to them.
