SCAM ALERT - they add gratuity, but do not tell you that on your credit card slip like most restaurants do "Additional tip" They automatically add 18% to every check regardless of party size because they are unable to earn it otherwise. The food, service, atmosphere and especially management are absolutely atrocious. The hibachi chefs do no show. Nothing. He overcooked every piece of protein, and had absolutely zero showmanship. Keep in mind that they have a nondescript sign on the door that says they add 18% gratuity to every check regardless of party size. The server did not bring the items we asked for, the protein sizes were paltry, but hey, I guess it's all good for the employees and the restaurant because they automatically add 18% to every check. This place was virtually empty on a Friday night because they long since forgot about any aspect, idea, or concern of customer service or experience. When I mentioned I got about 1 oz of beef in my hibachi meal, they slammed down a plate of inedible and undercooked beef from somewhere in the back. Still paltry and likely violated health code. When I asked for the manager, she refused to come see me. When I finally saw her, she asked if I knew how to speak English because the sign on the door said they add 18% tip to each table, and said I should just eat at buffets.

Good service, good food, and clean. Good lunch specials. Opens at 11. The place is kind of hidden in the back of a shopping center.

Never communicated that they NO LONGER put Masago (new change 2-3 was) my kid didn't eat it and I wasted $40.

RIP OFF! Customer Service DOES NOT exist in this place. They are RUDE on the phone and they keep putting a lady to take orders over the phone who can't hear and constantly hangs up on you. Last time I dined there, the manager was on FaceTime with her daughter, passing the phone around and talking loudly across the whole dining room. I didn't come here to pay money (overpriced) to be listening to their gossip. Today was the last straw - I will NEVER return here. They lost my business, my family business and everyone I know.... They took off Masago off of he California Roll, which is the only reason my kids would eat it. I ordered FOUR and no one told me that they no longer put Masago on. When I called to complain about my kids' dinner, they guy was beyond rude and told me to bring it back to get money back. Because I have one hour to waste to go there and back during the heaviest traffic for THEIR mistake. There was NO apology, no credit, no any kind of accommodation- I AM DONE!!! Their sushi is not even that good- I only went there for my kids, but now I'd rather get sushi at H‑E‑B for them than return to this hell hole. OVERPRICED POOR QUALITY SUSHI AND NASTY ATTITUDES! BYE

Great Asian food. You can choose either regular restaurant service on one side, or Benihana style "dinner and a show" on the other side.

It's a huge space and usually is packed with a ton of people on the weekends, so it can sometimes take a little bit to get the dim sum carts around to you. But while a lot of people come for the dim sum (which is really really good), we actually go for the family styled meals! For the wide array of flavors and dishes, the food comes out pretty timely! The spicy tofu is spicy and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside while the fragrant eggplant is soft and comes with a thick tangy, spicy sauce and sliced up mushrooms for a crunchy added texture. I could honestly go on and on about how much I love this place, but that would be a whole thesis on its own. I absolutely recommend Dim Sum King!

It is a Michelin recognized (i.e., fancy) authentic Szechuanese restaurant. While I can't comment on the authenticity, the flavors are deeper and bolder than any Chinese cuisine I've ever had. My brother and I fight over which is better, the boiling fish or the dry pot. Really, everything we've had has been excellent. It's possible to go affordable here with something like a fried rice dish, but I recommend being adventurous and trying something new. Every dish is sharing size and a table of two could eat their fill with one or two dishes. They get busy during peak times but they're good at turning tables and I've never had a bad wait. I'll note that the food comes out suspiciously quick, seemingly regardless of what we order it takes around 5-10 minutes, even when we brought a larger party.

I too have passed this place for over 30 years and never stopped in. The restaurant was very neat and clean on the inside, to go only style but, a few seats available to dine in. The service was prompt and super friendly as well as professional, prices are beyond reasonable. Now the food. I ordered shrimp egg fu young along with wonton soup. Starting with the soup, it lacked flavor, the dumplings were doughy and undercooked however I did enjoy all the veggies and pork pieces in side the soup especially the actual fried wontons. Unfortunately the dumplings were undercooked and I couldn't finish due to the gummy and chewy texture of the dough. Shrimp egg fu young is a dish that I must try at any restaurant when available this was no exception to the rule. The presentation was beautiful mouthwatering but once I bit into the egg foo yong, I got nothing but grease in my mouth. It didn't taste like anything but a bland fluffy grease pocket, and once I spat it out. Nothing but clear grease came out. my mouth was coated with a film of grease in no way could I finish that. I can only share my personal experience and unfortunately it wasn't great. Crazy part is I'm not opposed to giving them another shot with different items it will be a good while if I do decide to return but my initial experience wasn't the best food wise and although cheap it was a waste of money because it all went into the trash

The inside is eclectic, it's not fancy...though this isn't a bad thing. It's a nice escape from the run-of-the-mill Chinese take-out places (where you can eat inside also), it's not trying to be corporate-flashy. Best I can describe it is authentic to the people who own the joint. And I like it; a couple of fish tanks, some kitsch, the odd neon signs inside (over the bar, on the west wall towards the rear), the unused area to the right of the bar. Somethings work, something's are out of place, but it's a testament to the longevity of the location. So the food: the value is great. The apps were middle-of-the-road (sweet fire shrimp, spicy cucumbers (sans spicy but ponzu), spring rolls. The stand out was the hot and sour soup. Nothing really novel about it, but exactly what I was looking for. As the duck sauce was a bit sweet for the spring rolls to my liking, I found it necessary, and delicious, to dunk the spring rolls in the hot and sour soup. The Scientist had her usual kung-pao chicken. Really good, if not a bit basic (though the slight notch up of heat from the Szechuan peppers was appreciated). I went with the Peking duck. It's the most expensive thing on the menu (as it is everywhere else), but worth it. This is going to feed 2-3 or a big meal there and a healthy portion to take home. The skin crispy, the meat moist. Bones removed, but for the wings and thigh bones...it was appreciated. Served with Chinese pancakes and onions and a delightful hoisin. Highly recommended. The staff was delightful. Efficient (if not a little too efficient; we had two servers ask for our order), attentive, hospitable. We don't really have a go-to for Chinese food. Despite being out in Gtown, this may be our new default for Chinese eat-in or take-out.

The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean from my vantage point. They had a buffet but I wasn't in the mood for that. I placed an order for the egg drop soup, 1 egg roll, 1 spring roll and wings. My food was ready pretty quickly and I was on my way. Once I made it home, I tried the spring and egg roll they were both solid nothing special but good. Next, I tried the egg drop soup and I enjoyed it, especially since I was under the weather. The wings were last and they were huge! I wonder how large was that chicken to produce wings that big!
