A pop up Texas style (?) BBQ with a Chicano flair. Best way to see if they are offering the goods is by their Instagram page. They have a website as well where, if they were planning a pop up, you could order from. The person running this is super friendly and it's obviously a family (maybe friends) operation. I really do enjoy these pop up/ underground type BBQ places. I was on my way back to West LA, but if I had more time, it seems like I could have probably brought a can or two of my fave craft beer to enjoy with my meal. Makes me miss another vendor that did something similar (where I did enjoy my food with a couple cans of beer). People were sitting at the supplied tables and definitely felt like a family cookout. I thought the prices were reasonable as well.. I ordered the two meat platter - got the cafecito ribs and brisket. The mac and cheese and the beans were the sides I chose. I also ordered his chile relleno inspired sausage. The ribs were tender, but had a nice snap in the bite. Very well done. I got the fatty cuts of brisket and also had a great smoky flavor and texture. I thought the sausage was good too. I liked the sides, but probably couldn't say I loved them. They were good don't get me wrong, but just wasn't blown away. Definitely a fun vibe and great way to experience BBQ. Definitely would come back to try other meats or the burgers/ sandwiches.

The people here are very friendly and helpful. And there's some apple seating area, especially since it wasn't super busy. I did come on a late weekday night though. Of course I ordered the pezcuesos de pollo. The price were very reasonable. I got it to go because I was on my way home. And they neatly packaged everything with plenty of the extras like salsa and toppings. I definitely wanna come back and try their other tacos here or other menu items.

I love that Santa Rita Jalisco Taco Truck offers affordable prices and provides seating, which is a rarity among taco trucks in public areas. They also have a sink with soap, water, and paper towels for washing up before and after eating those delicious, messy tacos. I wanted to try the Cabeza tacos and chicken necks after seeing them featured in a video online. I also decided to try some other tacos. The guy at the register recommended the Tripa after I chose Pastor and Asada. All the tacos were excellent! My wife said she had already eaten and didn't want anything, but after I put the order of chicken necks in front of her, she couldn't stop eating them. She especially loved the crispy chicken skin. I wish I had ordered the sauce separately, as she preferred to eat the chicken necks without it. We will absolutely be back for the fried chicken necks! We will definitely be back to Santa Rita Jalisco Taco Truck, and my wife is already planning an empty stomach for our next visit.

As mentioned by other Yelper(s), this taco trunk can be found parked in front of the LAC USC Medical Center building. In fact, I remember seeing more than 1 trucks available, but this white Buenos Tacos (easy to remember) truck is the only one that opens late and on the weekend. But please don't quote me on this. They offer tacos, quesadias, burritos, and tortas, but I am only interested in tacos usually. Regular tacos cost $1.25 each, while tacos de lengua cost $1.50 each. I recommend opting for regular ones, as you can get 4 for $5, no change, no mess. I am not even sure why lengua costs more, or if lengua actually tastes better. Shrug. I got cabeza and pastor to go. The cook was very speedy in cooking, and packed everything in foil for me to keep them warm. Limes was cut up and put in a separate bag for convenience. Both tasted very good! Now, if you cannot handle spicy, you may wanna let him know ahead of time, because after eating all 4, my eyes and nose were runny, and my oral cavity in general was burning. It's a delicious kinda burn, but I could do without it. I also enjoyed the toppings such as cilantro, onion, etc. Get everything on it. I didn't regret it at all for doing so! Specifically, cabeza was visibly more fatty but I liked it that way--it was super yummy. Pastor in comparison was drier, but still very well marinated. They tasted good enough, and were cheap enough, for me to come back and try for more. I'll update you guys if I ever buy their other options: azada, chorizo, pollo, and buche. (Btw, all spelling is per menu on the truck. Some look kinda funky, but I don't speak Spanish, so what do I know.)
