My most recent experience with Markham Taxi was horrible! The driver shows up in a van that the…read moredoors barely open, so hard to pull it open and close. Didn't even bother pulling into my driveway. Then, the driver kept asking me "do you have cash?" I answered no, that I was paying by debit. Then he started huffing and puffing and complaining under his breath something about the machine, so I asked if the machine wasn't working? Knowing that if I had to stop at a bank, he would keep the meter running. I needed to know becaus if his machine was busted, he should have communicated that before he drove away from my house He didn't ASK if I was paying by cash, just asked 2x if I had cash. I asked again about the machine.I explained that I always pay by debit and it has never been an issue. Then he started getting sarcastic and rude and answered nobody is telling you how to pay. Ummm ok?! He dropped me off at my salon appointment (sadly I tipped him) and he let me out on an angled driveway - thankfully I didn't slide on the ice. Again the door was impossible to open and just as hard to close especially while trying to maintain my balance. Guy drives past me afterward shouting "don't slam my door". Well that won't be an issue, reported him and won't be using this company again after that nightmare of an experience.
