My wife "Cris", had her learners permit for over 2 years. During that period, i put her behind the wheel every time we went anywhere. She had the opportunity to drive a late model 4 door sedan or a mid-size 4 wheel drive pickup anywhere on the island of Maui. As a former professional driver myself, i taught Cris everything that i knew and everything i was able to teach her. Some friends of ours were experiencing the same situation, the only difference being that "the husband" wasn't working out as being the best teacher under their particular arrangement and they mentioned how helpful Greg Ferrando's A+ Driving School was for them. Under Greg's patience and professional skill, Milly passed her road test (hooray !!) and that's all we needed to hear. We contacted Greg, received a timely response and were scheduled right away for the first lesson. Greg recommended 1 more lesson and we asked if 1 more final "brush up" might be helpful the day before the test ? He agreed and wouldn't you know that Cris passed her road test with flying colors the next day ! Greg was able to take over where i left off and instilled confidence and kindness in abundance. He has a proven system and skill with excellent results. If you really need and want to get your license, go with A + and don't fuss ! Good luck, David and Cristina Mount. read more

Just passed my road test today with Greg. I really appreciate his help. The first time I came to Greg, I just knew some very basic driving knowledge and did not have much driving experience. It was really difficult for me at that time to find someone who is well equipped with driving knowledge, could provide a vehicle and could also do the pickup service since I just moved here and did not have all those help. Thanks to Greg. Not only could he teach me all kinds of driving/road knowledge, demonstrate the driving skills, but also he is very patient to all the possible mistakes I made and helped me to fix them. Besides these, he has a great pickup and drop-off service which is very helpful and made things much easier for me. I am very grateful that he is always patient and willing to help even I failed the road tests few times. He is a great driving instructor. I am glad he helped me go through this learning driving and getting my driving license process. Things really could not get better without his help. Thank you so much!!! read more

I highly recommend Greg as a driving instructor! He was extremely polite, patient, and professional, and he made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. His teaching style made everything easy to understand, and he helped me feel prepared and calm going into my road test. I only needed 2-3 lessons with Greg before my road test, which really shows how much he can teach and accomplish in such a short amount of time. Thanks to his guidance, patience, and helpful tips, I was able to pass my driving test on my first try and get my license! I'm so grateful for all of Greg's help and encouragement. If you're nervous about driving or preparing for your road test, I definitely recommend Greg--especially if you're over 18 and looking for an instructor in Maui, since there aren't many instructors who accept adult learners. He's an amazing instructor who truly knows how to prepare his students for success! read more

I passed my test the first time! Really really grateful for Greg and his way of teaching. He was really effective and his techniques work 100% of the time, both universal and self-invented by him Anyway, I'm really thankful I got my license, it would be a huge difference in my life. He is really patient and knows what he's doing and saying. His feedbacks really helped me improve a lot. My basic skill of driving was there but I needed to know the skills needed to pass the test and be a good driver, too--which he really helped me a lot on. He is a really cool and fun teacher, too. I learned things from him that are beyond driving skills. He may look strict but he's a really chill guy Greg, you are a lifesaver. Thank you. read more

I highly recommend Greg Ferrando at A-Plus driving school. I am a 47 year old woman with ASD and dyslexia and have been terrified of driving for years. Right off the bat Greg made me feel safe and comfortable behind the wheel. He is very patient and extremely thoughtful about explaining situation on the road. I definitely struggled in the beginning of our lessons, but by the end he had shaped me into a confident driver. I passed the road test with ease and I am now a licensed driver! This is a major accomplishment for me that I never thought would be possible. I can't begin to express my gratitude. read more

Our son is a 29 year old man on the autism spectrum. He has had his permit for a few years, but it has been challenging for us to teach him in a way that we really felt like he would be safe. We finally hired a professional to give us insight into his ability to drive and teach him the rules of safe driving. Greg was super patient, exceptionally kind and professional. Setting up appointments was really easy. Kai may have needed a few more driving classes than folks who don't deal with his disability, but we have sweet success! Kai is officially a licensed safe driver. We are all so very grateful! read more
