Meeting our DJ: We made an appointment with Lamont almost a year before our wedding. Upon meeting him, we got all the details we needed. There are no flaws in his packages all of them were reasonable. Overall Lamont holds a very professional attitude, and positive outlook. He's funny and very energetic. This is what you should be looking for in a DJ before he's entertaining your guest!! As the days crept closer to the Wedding I was very busy, a lot had to be done and I had almost forgotten to turn in my music list that I needed to give Lamont. The entire time, it was him reminding me, giving me notices about and asking questions about what I THE BRIDE wanted. That's another thing you should look for, a DJ who cares about your event as much as you do. Really meant a lot to me! WEDDING DAY: Lamont played the music I wanted, and kept everything according to what we planned, this was very significant he respected and followed with the music choice we wanted. So I have arrived an hour late to my reception because I was taking photos. As soon as DJ Lamont saw us, he went straight into action, our song was played and we were lovingly welcomed by our family and friends. All of my guests were extremely happy that evening. As I mentioned, i'm a little introvert but I danced that night away! SONG MIX: He knows what music to play, this was especially important because our family is mixed with Mexicans and White and a lot of young guests. We played, Mexican music, country, and modern music. Everything went absolutely how we planned! In our first dance, Lamont surprised us with bubbles, I have never felt like a princess than that moment. Now, the reason we both can't stop raving about Bernie's is that Bernadette (the owner) provided 5-star expertise and services with the care and comfort of a Best-Man/Maid-of-Honor. With all of the chaos that comes with wedding planning, we were relieved that Bernie's made our bartending planning smooth and stress free. Month's prior to the big event, we had our consultation with Bernie's to go over the logistics. We were planning on having an open bar for a 400 person wedding for a crowd that loves to drink (which made me very nervous about the price we would need to spend on alcohol). We provided them with our opinion on the types of drinkers that would be attending and the types of cocktails we wanted at the wedding, and with that information they were able to break down precisely how many bottles of liquor, kegs of beer, cases of wine, and even juices & condiments we would need to purchase. This alone saved us thousands of dollars versus if we were to blindly over-buy due to the amount of guests we expected. The best part is that we were able to serve our guests a variety of beer, wine, and over a dozen cocktails and mocktails, giving all of our guests -drinkers or not- a delicious variety to choose from. Also, at the end of the wedding they cleaned up their station and organized our leftover liquor for us to take home in a secure location. We were so lucky to have come across Bernies Mixology when doing our wedding planning.
