Dennis is probably my favorite counselor/therapist. He really cares about his patients and checks…read morein with them to see how they're doing. He listens and responds to you after you say something rather than writing things down or looking at a clipboard. He has really cool toys for people with anxiety to have something to hold while they talk. I've noticed that all good counselors, therapists, and psychiatrists I've been to usually have toys. I first met Dennis when I was 17, my parents sent me to him because I was deeply depressed. I didn't feel comfortable opening up to any of the other therapists or psychologists I was seeing, because they didn't really try to connect with me. Dennis reminded me that I was a person, under all my anger and sadness and pain. I was pretty numb and disconnected from emotions, but he saw past all that to the person I was. I moved away before college, but when I realized I had unresolved things to sort through last month Dennis was the one I chose to seek treatment from through zoom. It's nice to have someone in your corner and Dennis is always in your corner.

I stopped into Life Skills Village to check out the new location and was very impressed. This…read morefacility does an excellent job of recreating reality in a safe environment for those who suffer from brain injuries. One of many things that make this business stand out is that the entire team works together and is in direct communication with each other through out the recovery process. When you walk in you are immediately enchanted by the indoor garden area which features several areas of seating including tables and benches. The sense of community is evident in the fact that they offer a restaurant, gym, library, theatre, recreation room, an onsite store and vocational room. I was also impressed by the fact that they help patients bring their creative passions to life by guiding them through the process of starting their own business. I even had the opportunity to check out one such passion in the form of tee shirts for people with brain injuries. This was only one of the many cool and unique features that is offered at Life Skills Village. Another unique program worth mentioning is one that kicks off on Thursdays in the months of March and April. It is called 'Thursday Night Social Events' and features nights of karaoke, billiards, trivia, crafts and a euchre tournament. Hats off to this traumatic brain injury rehabilitation center for their patient and team focused approach as well as their attention to detail in recreating reality in a safe environment.

Wanted to charge me an obnoxious cash only late fee (what a scam) without providing a receipt. The receptionist over the phone told me I can afford it because I wear nice clothes. Tried telling me what life changes I should make to pay their late fee. I'm sorry but if its an emergency, it should be considered to waive a late fee. Doctors offices don't even charge as high as they do for a late or last minute cancellation. I don't understand why they would want to lose a patient over one canceled visit. They would have made more money had they waived the late fee. OH and lets not even talk about the times I was there ON TIME for my appointment and waited HOURS for my therapist to show but they want to charge me for an EMERGENCY cancellation???? No exaggeration. I'll never use this place again.

Becky listened to me and my concerns and helped figure out the right supplements for the way I was feeling. She also did her healing on my whole body. I left the office feeling better than I had in weeks. I would definitely recommend her to family and friends or anyone suffering in anyway.

I get that it is my mother's responsibility to know what her insurance covers and not but who really knows every detail of there insurance. At every other office we have been told about this much for copay deductible etc. At this office we were told about 20 dollars a visit. Over two months later I get huge bills from another company, apparently the billing company, that I wasn't expecting if I was answered correctly in the beginning I would have planned accordingly. Terrible service. The techs seem to do all the work. It seems either too busy because people show up for appointments late or overstaffed because the schedule is done poorly. There are so many therapy places to choose from I would not recommend this one to anyone, very poorly managed.
