I adopted my pup from A Path For Paws and had a great experience! The volunteers are clearly passionate and very active in the adoption process. They took the time to talk with me and answer my questions--even when things got a little busy, they still made an effort, which I really appreciated. It's clear the dogs are well socialized, and my new pup adjusted quickly and comfortably at home. A really thoughtful touch was that he came with 30 days of medical assistance and the cutest little goodie bag. If you're looking to adopt, definitely check them out. You can tell they really care about the animals and the people adopting them.

I've been volunteering with this rescue since November and have been a foster since this recent December 2023. The volunteers here really care and love the pups. They, get to know each dog so when families come in to adopt them into their homes they know what each pup's personalities are like and what their triggers may be. I've fostered 2 puppies and 3 Great Pyrenees. You can volunteer to walk the dogs on Saturday or Sundays. They have littles, mediums and large doggies. The adoption center is open Saturday and Sundays 10am-4pm and the pups are there to meet and greet. On their website are all the dogs available for adoption so if there is someone you want to meet, be sure to reach out to the email and ask about the pup so they will be at the adoption center on Sat or Sun. All the dogs are fixed/neutered when adopted out, they are all up to date on their shots and they are all microchipped. This rescue is a non-profit and works off donations so they have baskets they raffle off to help pay their vet bills, they accept donations of dry and wet dog food, gift cards to cal ranch, monetary donations, towels, blankets, sheets, etc. C.A.L Ranch next door is a huge supporter of the rescue so you can always pop next door grab a gift card and support both Grab you next best friend from A Path for Paws

I volunteer and foster through a Path 4 Paws. They have such a love for the dogs and that shows through how they are cared for.

Hi older sister lost her cat to kidney issues. Her cat was 17 years old. She was truly devastated…read moreand said she did not want to get another pet that will out last her because she is in her 70s. She decided that if she did get a cat, she wanted it to be a senior cat at least nine or 10 years old and she wanted a black cat. I checked a few rescue places and came up upon homeward bound cat rescue. We went clear across town to visit and we're really happy that we did. We spent some time visiting with one of their senior cats. I don't know how someone passed her up. She is very friendly. She did hiss a couple of times at homeward bound, but I think it was because she was afraid and didn't know us ...but you could tell that she had a good demeanor as she started to warm up after we spent a good 45 minutrs or more there with her. She came and sat right next to my sister. She actually then crawled up onto my lap. We knew that she had picked us as her new humans. She will come when you call her name and she has litter box trained. She will also come give you a little head but to tell you, she loves you. She is friendly with me and my husband. The intake form said she was a little nervous with other people coming into the house, but we've had several people interact with her now and she's never had that issue. I don't think it was a cat issue. I think it was the people issue. We're really happy we found homeward bound cat rescue. The facility is very clean. They do have quite a few cats. They have their own rooms and some of them have a couple of cats together so that they have a friend or they're bonding, but I love the fact that they weren't all sitting in cages having such high stress like you see at some of the adoptions at the pet stores or PetSmart, etc. It is truly a wonderful place and the ladies there are exceptional. The intake form was really not that long. I don't know what other people on the reviews are saying that it was a difficult process, but I would hope that they would be selective and talk to each person and get some information and have you sign adoption papers so they're doing everything the right way. Even If you don't need a cat at this time, at least go to their website and make a donation.

The staff and volunteers were welcoming, kind, and full of information. We had been looking for a black kitten and instantly found the perfect one for our family.
