I called this company on a Friday afternoon during the rainstorm and they answered and offered to send someone out the very next day for an estimate. He showed up on time, the estimate was fair, and they managed to squeeze me into their already busy schedule just three days later. They arrived within an hour of their quoted time (they send me a text letting me know they were on their way), which I don't fault them for as I was just happy to have them show up. They took lots of pictures before and after, and yes... our gutters were clogged. Not anymore though! The staff I walked with were very friendly, and I am really thankful they came on such a short notice. Thanks!

The sales person (Jake) who came out to Niskayuna to provide an estimate was very friendly and said all the right things about how TBTJDG values their customers and works to retain your business. We agreed to a scope of work and paid a 50 percent deposit. On install day, the installer decided the scope of work needed to be changed, but didn't bother to contact us to discuss it before moving forward. The result was disastrous. I returned home from work to find two down spouts installed on both sides of the entry in the house in a very odd and unsightly manner. Imagine two very long wings coming out from the side of your house. Upon discovering this, we contacted Jake and he came out to review the situation. The fix we came up with was to extend the unsightly down spouts underground. They had the audacity to charge us to fix the mistake and to make matters worse it still took at least 3 weeks and several calls and text messages for someone to show up to complete the job. Today 2 installers who clearly have little or no experience doing this work showed up and things quickly went from bad to worse. We waited and watched patiently while they lacked the proper equipment and tools to do the job and had to leave several times in search of materials to complete the job. Six hours later we're told that someone else from the company will need to come back to complete the job because these installers were not comfortable with the results. Well guess what....neither are we. I typically don't write reviews good or bad. However, I've remained professional and cordial throughout this several week process, but this is utterly ridiculous. I feel sorry for the installers that came today. They needed guidance and tried to call their boss who couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone or call them back. Ultimately, the job was completed to the best of their ability. One would think that since the initial work didn't go well, they're send experienced installers capable of making things right. I say again, ridiculous. Buyer beware.

They wanted a $3.1K deposit which she had to pay in cash because their "credit card reader failed". This amount turned out to be excessive and in violation of NY law. The work was schedule for December of last year. Without notifying her, they rescheduled the installation for March of this year... without her consent. However, my sister who signed the contract became seriously ill... is in the hospital... and would not be available to supervise the work at that later date... a date they rescheduled to do the work without my sister's consent or knowledge. As such, a demand for return of the full deposit was made and refused by Woodford. We will be taking further action. UPDATE While it was inexcusable to have withheld the deposit, Woodford is making a full refund of the remaining deposit and promised to send it certified mail the same day. My thanks to Eric for his prompt response to this matter.

Extremely disappointed with the work Woodford Brothers did in my basement…read more They did waterproofing for me a couple of years ago, and when they dug and re-poured the concrete around the perimeter of my basement, they left the floor with a significant and uneven slope. I didn't notice how bad it was right away because I've been slowly saving up and doing small projects over time to turn the space into a playroom. Once I finally started bringing in professionals to move forward, the issues became impossible to ignore. The slope is so severe that I can't get flooring installers to lay carpet, and shelving can't safely sit against the wall without leaning -- which is a serious safety hazard since this room is meant for my two-year-old. I've called the company multiple times and was told I'd receive call-backs, but no one follows up. No real solution has been offered, and they've shown no willingness to fix the problem. Even a professional from Lowe's said they had never seen a job done like this and that it absolutely shouldn't look this way. For the cost of the project and the trust I put in this company, I expected far better. I would strongly recommend getting multiple opinions before choosing Woodford Brothers.

BUYER BEWARE Less…read morethan a week after I had gutters installed by Iron Horse of Syracuse in January 2021, leakage problems had to be fixed at two separate sections. Again this year, in the exact same two spots, the same problem: the leakage resumed. Last year one of the owners (Ben) first insisted that it was a roofing problem, but when the other owner (Eric) came with him after I pressed the issue, one section was replaced. The other section was sealed. The moral of the story? Despite the same problems, in the same two sections, video, audio, still pics and all ... again, the co-owner (Ben) blames the roof--even when two separate Syracuse roofing company assessments say otherwise. My guess is that he's likely telling the same line to other customers, which is why I'm posting this review. Videos and pictures, thankfully, clearly show what I consider to be the shoddy work of this company. Specifically and importantly, they show the roof edge is intact along the entire edge. More to the point, they show the huge gap between the soffit and the gutter that was installed in January 2021 by Iron Horse. Pictures do not lie. My conversation with the same co-owner today (Ben) made abundantly clear that he could care less. Initially he offered a refund when he thought I was buying his roofing story, until I called his bluff and said 'yes.' Then, his story changed. Again. If you can avoid this company, please do. You will almost surely save yourself a headache that's hardly worth their lower pricing and quick (shoddy) work. I'll post an update once I get these sections replaced by another gutter company that doesn't operate 'in the gutter.' I'm guessing that a lot of the 5-star reviews from "customers" that have posted only 1 review are likely fake. That should tell you all that you need to know. Or, maybe it's just that every customer won't get the same 5-star service as the other "customers" here.
