The dispatcher was pleasant and the taxi arrived in less than 10 minutes. Pretty fast; I was impressed! The car was clean and smelled good. My driver was Chris. I've had issues with feeling unsafe before, with other drivers, but my driver was very safe. Rate was reasonable. This is a good alternative to my standard Uber and Lyft usage. I will use be using Blacks again, in the future, when I'm in the area.

Then he changed his mind and briskly gave me a second number and told me to call that guy - then hung up. I called the second number and Fred said he would be there in 20 minutes. He showed up 40 minutes later. Luckily we weren't in a hurry. He was very friendly and courteous. We were 4 adults laughing and joking around and Fred got right into the spirit. He dropped us off at the party and when I called him for a ride home 7 hours later - at midnight - he was there in 10 minutes. On the way home someone suggested we stop at In'N'Out for a burger. Fred was perfectly happy to do so - we tried to buy him a burger, but he only wanted a lemonade. We got our burgers and ate on the way home. The nice thing is that they charge a flat fee - by the mile. So when there was an accident on the freeway and we got caught in the backup and crawled along for 15 minutes - it didn't cost any extra - no meter. When he picked us up - we knew exactly what the cost was going to be. All-in-all it was a great experience. I haven't used a cab in many years, so I wasn't sure what it would cost, but we all agreed that his price was reasonable. The only downside was it took him twice as long to pick us up as he had quoted and he had a mid-sized car - a little tight for 4 adults. Other wise great service. I called one night in advance and scheduled a pickup in San Marcos, since I expected the driver to be late I called in a few minutes before the time I had to leave. The driver was on time and waited for me while I had to complete the paperwork. Then he waited for me when I arrived at my destination to brought me back again to San Marcos where I had to work. The driver was very friendly and the fare wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I would not hesitate to call them up again if I needed them. Only complaint is that it's very expensive.

She said "They don't take calls." I said I just talked to the guy. This went on for a while but it was no use. She insisted there was no reservation for my cab. I started walking. A few minutes later I get a call that my cab is there. I walk back half a block to the transit center. There's no cab there. It is not possible for any business to operate with this level of incompetence and outright contempt for their customers.

While Jackson did not have availability for the next day, he found a different company to handle our shuttle needs. I was contacted an hour later by the driver to confirm our reservation, and provided a contact number for any customer service needs.
