It would be easy to miss this place.
The frontage says it's an ice cream parlour and coffee shop - I don't like coffee so I wouldn't consider it.
We had walked past it on numerous occasions before realising that there is a restaurant inside the shop.
I thought it was just an ice cream kiosk that had a couple of tables and chairs outside for anyone wanting a coffee.
The shop is very nicely presented inside; the exterior frontage doesn't do this justice. I think the shop would benefit from a change to the windows/entrance area of the shop - in order to "show" the tourists what the shop is all about. After all, it's a classy little joint!
Their card says that they are:
"Specialists in coffee, artisan ice-cream, cakes & pastries. All homemade on the premises. Hot & cold snacks to eat in or take away"
This isn't a greasy spoon cafe, run of the mill chippy; in fact they don't even do chips. It's a very pleasant restaurant which has a continental feel to it. I enjoyed it here!
We visited at lunch time and had a couple of light snacks. Cheese & Tomato omelette, salad & spicy wedges and also a hot beef panini with salad.
All of the food was excellent, very fresh and well presented.
Good quality food at reasonable prices.
Enjoy!
Oh, and if you want a beer/lager - then they also serve that! read more
