I have read lots of mixed reviews about this restaurant so I felt very lost when ordering my meal…read more The steak was not bad, it is a safe option to pick they cook it to your liking but it won't have much flavor, the fries have even less flavor but again it could be a lot worse. The kids carrot soup is a better option than the charcuterie board especially for picky children. The way the charcuterie meats are presented are not appetizing at all. It's just three round slices of meats (salami, turkey, and another) accompanied by veggie crisps (sweet potato chips) that aren't even crunchy. I would definitely not pick that out for your kids it's just a bad option overall so much so that i didn't even take a photo of it. The carrot soup is just carrot purée nice and simple and reminds me of a cozy autumn soup. The kids linguine bolognese was just okay. I might even ask for an extra side of sauce on the side because they really did not give a lot. Our host was incredibly kind and our waiter was okay. The cheese dessert reminded my family of flan if you're unsure what it would taste like and the texture and consistency of both are very alike. The eclair and mouse were also good options for kids. If you go here it's definitely just for the photos and happiness of being in Remys kitchen.

Whimsical Décor, but the Food Was a Mixed Bag! Came here…read morefor the first time with friends and absolutely loved the décor! Some tables featured oversized objects and larger-than-life details, making you feel as if you were experiencing the restaurant from a rat's perspective. It was whimsical, creative, and so much fun! We had reservations, which I highly recommend because the line of people waiting to get in was incredibly long! The staff greeted us promptly for our 11:45 a.m. lunch reservation and seated us at a round table. The menu offered two options: a two-course or three-course meal. Since I wasn't very hungry and don't usually go for dessert, I chose the two-course option. For starters, I ordered the seasoned soup with Laughing Cow cheese and mixed herbs. It was delicious, especially on a cold Paris day! For my main course, I chose the roasted cod with ratatouille, crushed potatoes, and beurre blanc sauce. Unfortunately, this dish was a bit disappointing. The cod lacked flavor and was tougher than I expected--I was hoping for a more delicate, tender texture, but the skin was especially leathery. The sauce was okay, but a little overpowering, and the crushed potatoes tasted more like mashed potatoes. I couldn't finish either one. My friend ordered the roasted chicken supreme with baby potatoes, mushrooms, and mushroom sauce, which she described as just "okay." Another friend ordered the cod as well, while the kids tried the grilled steak and fries and the chicken and fries from the children's menu. The chicken was too plain for one of the kids' tastes. According to my friends who could enjoy gluten, the cheese dessert was the standout and the best way to finish the meal! Overall, I'd recommend visiting for the imaginative décor and lively atmosphere, and definitely make a reservation! The food was a mixed experience for our group, though the delicious soup and unique setting made the visit memorable.
