They started taking care of her the moment we walked in the door, they were very gentle and patient and they told me that her appointment would actually take longer than a usual appointment because of her age, that they would likely take lots of breaks and move slowly so she wouldn't get too tired (she has issues standing) or get scared during her shedding blowout. I picked her up and she looked beautiful, so soft and smelled great. They told me she needed help standing in the tub so I'm glad they helped her. Her hair was clipped specifically so she wouldn't get dirty when trying to use the bathroom (little old lady problems) and her nails and paw fur were trimmed to give her better grip when walking on hard floors. Loving the reprieve from shedding, too. They even figured out I was military and told me to tell them next time so I could get my discount but I didn't even bother mentioning it because I figure they earned every penny. We appreciated the "sanitary cut" our doggy is given (cleaning of the underside and her butt area). We have been to places where they trim her under-area and it looks like she got a doggy Brazilian wax. Let's just say Brazilians are not meant for doggies.....'nuff said!

I have been a very happy Prissy Paws client for at least a decade now. I also never liked the idea of leaving my dogs in strange places among strange dogs that are unrestrained/loose and with unknown temperaments where anything can happen and not being able to pick them up for 3-4hrs from drop-off time. I was so glad to discover Prissy Paws right here in Columbia. Prissy Paws is a state-of-the-art mobile grooming service that comes right to my door. My dogs are preened in a comfortable, safe, one-on-one environment, with no other dogs or distractions around while being groomed. They get their nails sanded down instead of clipped - not one bloody paw since being in Jen's care. (Other groomers charged me for sanding but still managed to clip my dogs nails first, which led to bloody feet on my dogs, despite my communicating that I absolutely did not want their nails clipped, ever--only sanded.) My dogs' grooming treatment includes their ears, teeth, paws (between toes and pads), nails, glands and coat -- the works-- to have their health and cleanliness maintained. My dogs smell so good and feel so soft after their grooming. Even my vet remarks at how clean my dogs' teeth are and how clean their ears look -- which is a feat considering all the tumbling and rolling they do outdoors. With other groomers, my dogs smell clean for a day and a half after the appointment. With Prissy Paws, they are so thoroughly cleaned and preened that they smell good for weeks afterward, despite being active and bounding in not-so-clean places outdoors. I don't have the inconvenience of driving 4 dogs across town or worry about leaving them in an unsafe/unfamiliar environment with unfamiliar dogs. I always feel like I got my money's worth because I have tried several groomers before and I know what the typical quality of grooming services levels off at. Jen is always super accommodating with scheduling appointments and has even alerted me to health conditions/changes she notices in my dogs and I subsequently had my vet examine/treat the condition(s). We are so fortunate to have this extremely convenient service. Prissy Paws gives us peace of mind and satisfaction that we are taking good care of our beloved dogs.
