Popped in here with my boyfriend and his family. Unfortunately, we didn't make reservations but one of the staff members was kind enough to give us an impromptu lesson on the process of making whiskey. She then led us to the barrel room and explained the differences between American whiskey and Scottish whiskey. She also gave us a sampling of three different types of whiskey. She actually taught us how to properly smell the whiskey before tasting it and how you can't judge it after the first sip. I must say, as someone who does not care for whiskey, I found the whole experience to be great! Would definitely come back the next time we're in Scotland. read more
