We had to replan our entire June wedding due to Covid so we went with an intimate backyard wedding…read moreand the one thing we knew was extremely important to us was the food and service options. When we came across Silver Spoon and spoke to the owner Jeanine, I knew we wanted to use their service for our special day. She was kind and comforting on the phone while being the upmost professional. Not to mention how many emails we exchanged (large part from myself being a bride) just made the experience leading up to the big day that much more appreciated. As for the food everything was wonderful we did a menu more like a bbq and added lobster rolls to the mix (I love lobster & husband loves bbq) but the number one thing on their menu that I still crave is their jalapeño honey butter corn bread! Seriously need to try it if you can. The Team! I cannot say enough about the team they were so sweet and so accommodating, flexible and just made you really feel like we hired the right people to do the right job. I am in the customer service industry and I was beyond pleased with each and every one of them. We hired a Bartender, two wait staff and a chef all of them have the best personalities and just made you feel the way you need to at your wedding. Jeanine - one thing to never let go of is your team with how wonderful the food was they really took the cake on presenting your company and services on a very special day. All in all I would book Silver Spoon for any event small or large in the future without hesitation!

Chris kicked off the start of a long girls weekend for 8 of us in Sag Harbor! I corresponded with…read morehim leading up to the trip and he was highly responsive and communicative relaying potential menu options and accommodations. Using his service was such a good choice for our first night after a morning of traveling and wine tasting. Being able to settle into our home and start catching up, throwing on comfy clothes, and having everything done for us was BEYOND nice. When Chris arrived, all I had to do was show him where the kitchen was and he got to work. We started with 3 apps - a cheese fondue with nice crusty bread and veggies, mini shrimp tostadas, and meatballs - all were so good and huge portion sizes! Chris set our table beautifully, served us 2 salads (an awesome herbed orzo salad with goat cheese + a delicious broccoli salad) and set up a lovely buffet for our main course! We got local fluke in a caper sauce, a skirt steak, roasted cauliflower, asparagus, and zucchini, roasted sweet potatoes, + INCREDIBLE mac and cheese!! For dessert, he served us an icebox oreo cake that we will probably talking about for years to come. He cleaned up absolutely everything for us - the entire experience was truly hands off and we were so grateful for it! We also had an absolute ton of leftovers that sustained us for the rest of the weekend that Chris put in tupperware for us before he left. We have all already discussed that we want to re-do the whole trip, Chris included! I highly recommend him for any group, he was friendly and easy to talk to and needed absolutely zero guidance - a total pro. The experience was seamless and the food was incredible.

All the fruits and veggies were perfectly in season, the salmon and chicken were cooked amazingly, and everything tasted fantastic. Chris was quick and totally on it pre dinner while we were figuring out the menu. He was super accommodating to the bride to be's pickiness and all food allergies etc. He cleaned up everything and even helped us with the extra dishes we left in the sink:) We literally only got one photo because people dug in so quickly! Thank you Chris!! Your number has been spread to all the friends!

First and foremost, with all the choices that…read morewe made during the process of planning our wedding on the North Fork, choosing our caterer was easy. We were deciding between a few caterers and had a tasting with the Perry's that just sealed the deal. My (now) husband and I walked out of there saying it felt like we just had lunch with our aunt & uncle, it felt like we had known them that long! They are two amazingly warm people -- of course it helps that John is incredibly organized and good at his job and that Nikki makes the most delicious bites. We devoured every little last bite at that tasting.. Nothing went to waste! John was so helpful with everything leading up to the day of as well, from picking out rentals, to working out our timeline. We decided to have a different format (cocktail stations as opposed to a formal sit-down dinner) and working together, John helped us make sure we'd have a smooth flow and that everything would go off without a hitch. As we were working out the details with the rentals, I never felt like he was pushing me one way or the other -- even when he put together the list of kitchen items they'd need (my venue did not provide any set-up), I knew he was being careful about not over-ordering. I really felt like he had my best interests in mind at all times. Having him to coordinate all the details made me feel at ease.. I knew I was in good hands! On our actual wedding day, we were so well taken care of. The staff made sure we were eating (haha, doesn't always happen at weddings!) and everything ran so smoothly. Later in the evening, a very traumatic family emergency happened during the reception that put a frightening pause on the celebration. John was a rock and I really felt like I looked to him for the "What now?" John & Nikki were different from some of our other vendors with whom we'll probably not be in touch again. I feel like we'll be sending John & Nikki Christmas cards for years to come.. :) They embraced us and made us feel like family, and I'm certain they will you too.

John, Nikki, and the staff of A Small Affair are professional, attentive, and easy to work with. My guests and my husband and I were thrilled with the whole "affair". Food was delicious, well prepared and presented. Staff were helpful and considerate. Call these people- you will be happy with your choice.

No creamy lusciousness. No herby clammy umami. They sell clam juice. They should use it. I bought it, tasted it, added everything I could think of to make it taste like something but nada. Didn't mention It's watery? Zero clam taste? There are clams for sure, but I doubt they are fresh. Ps I hate potatoes in my soup. It's a cheap lazy way to add bulk, but red potatoes??? After tasting it, I was so mad that I thought to go back and nicely tell them to stop cutting corners as this will only lead to the closure of yet another failed biz, but instead I threw it out.
