I had an other carpet company try to get the stain out and they said they would try but could not get the stain out. I thought the stain was pet urine and maybe some oil tracked in. I even went to the carpet provider to see if the warrantee would help with replacing the carpet. I was fortunate to talk with Diane Dickeson at ProSource and she helped me narrow down my options. She recommended Larry Glispy at A Fresh Look. He's amazing! He and Colton came out and immediately said that they could get the stain out. They were expert in seeing that the stain was probably caused by some asphalt that was tracked in when the city did a resurfacing project on my street. I couldn't keep track of the magic solutions that they used but the stain is GONE!!!! My carpet looks great! I will be a life long customer of A Fresh Look carpets and highly recommend them! Unfortunately, the actual service was disappointing. I spoke with the receptionist beforehand and went into detail about everything I needed done. I was quoted the $189 special and knew stairs would cost extra, but once they arrived, there were additional charges for landings, walk-in closets, and other things I wasn't expecting. What I thought would be a reasonable increase ended up costing me about $300-$400 more than anticipated. My advice is to ask about every possible charge beforehand and get a firm price. The basement came out good, but the master bedroom closets left a lot to be desired. The stairs also ended up with a green discoloration afterward that I had to remove myself. To make matters worse, their van leaked oil in my driveway and on the street. I contacted Jeff and thought someone would come out to clean it. Instead, the same van returned and left another oil spot on the street. I now have two oil stains in the street and one in my driveway. My biggest advice: do not let their vehicle park in your driveway, and get a detailed price upfront that includes closets, landings, stairs, and anything else you want cleaned. Jeff was great to deal with, but based on the overall experience, I personally wouldn't recommend the company.
