Special thanks to the children who joined us in the first show to play tambourines, maracas, and drumsticks. In the second show for older children, others volunteered to demonstrate their new ventriloquial skills after choosing a puppet of their choice from the big drum case. Volunteers were encouraged to say their first name into the microphone and try moving the puppet's mouth three times as they said "One, Two, Three" with their new puppet voice. Special thanks to Mr. Jarod, the teacher who volunteered to be our HUMAN DUMMY! He wore our ventriloquist face mask, played the "ringy, dingy, thingy" and "sang" our "No Bully Zone" original song with Chelsea The Chimpanzee. (No, they did not sing at the same time... we're not that good!)

They do "homework" in daycare to ensure they are advancing academically for their age. If there is a concern, such as speech, Lisa will have a discussion to allow you to take the next step. The weekly rate of the daycare is very affordable and includes snack and lunch. Our daughter loves going to this daycare and has made many friends and is right where she should be developmentally. I would highly recommend this facility.

This place is a really just a 7 day daycare/night care center and not even a usable gym for adults…read moreat any time of day. There are better YMCA's elsewhere for adults to use. There are very few adult members at any time at this location when I've been there when compared to others, whether morning noon or night. It's very crowded and stuffy with poor air circulation if you don't mind sweating a bit more in the gym and dehydrate faster. I wasn't comfortable. It's mainly for little rude kids at summer camp and large sizable child swimming classes if you can take them running though all the locker rooms and gym. The staffs councilors have very poor control over the small groups and do not speak up and control the group and let them do what they want and abuse the facility. There are far better gyms to go to in the area, such as Gloucester YMCA, which facilitates both nicely, and you get a break from the kids at least because the gym is upstairs. It's set up pretty well, unlike Danvers. The front desk staff have no idea what they are doing and sit playing games on the computer, not paying attention as I've noticed a few times while children run wild in the lobby. Go elsewhere if you don't want kids getting in the way playing out of control games.

Elaine at the front desk is extremely rude. She was very rude to my 12 yr old. Then to my husband…read more If you're going to work with the public, have a little respect. You're there to work and not act as we are an inconvenience. We will not go back there.

The teachers greet my kid with a hug, lots of super cool arts and crafts, take concerns seriously, and the place is always warm and inviting. The owners are great too, they changed our bill to monthly instead of weekly, which helps us budget better, and they're parents too, which is always reassuring. Very happy with this place.

In short, these folks are great. The most precious commodity we have is our kids. We want them to…read morebe in a place where they are safe, have fun and learn. Children's Early Learning Center of Danvers is that type of place. For context, and full disclosure We've had our son here from before when it was under previous ownership. We loved a lot of his teachers, but we also noticed that the quality of the school was going down. That was due to the previous ownership (Northeast Montessouri of Danvers). When the new owners were announced, We were happy if cautious. The sun rises and sets with our son. We wanted to suss them out and hoped we would have a chance to do it before they took over. Weeks before the new owners took over they were there available to talk to and discuss how they would be running the daycare. I found them to be super personable and I noticed that my son really liked them too. I also am a stickler for "The rules" aka the standard regulations and they are too. They officially took over on October 1...and it was like going from Black and White to an HDTV or when you see a movie in IMAX and they play the sound differences. (I can remember telling my wife it reminded me of when Dorothy pushes open the door after she lands in Oz and the movie goes for black and white to color) Immediately you noticed the difference. Proactive owners means proactive directors which means proactive staff. My son is happier than he was before (and I think everyone there knows he's a pretty happy kid baseline). he loves the owners and center director. The rooms are great and there is just a much more fun vibe there. (In our case a shout out also has to go to Ms Emily, our son's teacher, who is just awesome!) Look, we all HAVE to send our kids to daycare. With that in mind, the goal should then be to find a place you WANT to send your child. Children's Early Learning Center of Danvers is a place where you WANT to send you son or daughter.
