Special thanks to the children who joined us in the first show to play tambourines, maracas, and drumsticks. In the second show for older children, others volunteered to demonstrate their new ventriloquial skills after choosing a puppet of their choice from the big drum case. Volunteers were encouraged to say their first name into the microphone and try moving the puppet's mouth three times as they said "One, Two, Three" with their new puppet voice. Special thanks to Mr. Jarod, the teacher who volunteered to be our HUMAN DUMMY! He wore our ventriloquist face mask, played the "ringy, dingy, thingy" and "sang" our "No Bully Zone" original song with Chelsea The Chimpanzee. (No, they did not sing at the same time... we're not that good!)

They do "homework" in daycare to ensure they are advancing academically for their age. If there is a concern, such as speech, Lisa will have a discussion to allow you to take the next step. The weekly rate of the daycare is very affordable and includes snack and lunch. Our daughter loves going to this daycare and has made many friends and is right where she should be developmentally. I would highly recommend this facility.

In the 5 day program, the teacher, Cissy, did a fabulous job with her curriculum and making sure she was in line with what was necessary for kindergarten. The teachers and director were always welcoming to the parents and invited them into the classroom at any time. My daughter wasn't only academically ready for kindergarten, she was socially ready as well. She learned how to work with peers to solve a problem and the importance of taking turns and waiting. She enjoyed going to school each day. Cissy used creative ways of teaching to keep the attention of the class. She used a variety of hands on materials to demonstrate her lessons. I knew that my child was in great hands while at school. The class size was small which allowed the teacher to give individual attention to address each student and to assist students when they needed a little extra help. Cissy also encouraged the students to bring in items from home that went along with the lessons. She always showed a lot of enthusiasm when children brought something in. She made each child feel important and valued everything the children had to say. My daughter was more than ready for kindergarten after her 2 years of preschool at Jack and Jill. I would highly recommend this preschool to other parents. I can't imagine sending my daughter to any other preschool. Sending my daughter to Jack and Jill gave us a very positive first experience in sending her to school.

She's a high school student now and is in the top 10% of her class academically, thanks in part to the patient and knowledgeable staff who helped her work to her potential in a caring atmosphere. I've visited the school several time and can tell you what I've observed. Not only have the teachers at Odyssey provided resources to allow the students to learn and grow, but they guided them in positive ways and encouraged social awareness, something that's very important to our family. Their student workshops are interesting and well planned. My granddaughter had the opportunity to learn about photography, rocketry and textile arts, among other non-traditional subjects. We enjoyed visiting the school and socializing with other families during pot luck suppers, picnics and ice cream socials and the International Week festivities. We found Odyssey very affordable thanks to financial aid, but even if we hadn't qualified, we would have found a way to send her to Odyssey. All in all, five stars.

The teachers greet my kid with a hug, lots of super cool arts and crafts, take concerns seriously, and the place is always warm and inviting. Children's Early Learning Center of Danvers is that type of place. For context, and full disclosure We've had our son here from before when it was under previous ownership. We loved a lot of his teachers, but we also noticed that the quality of the school was going down. That was due to the previous ownership (Northeast Montessouri of Danvers). When the new owners were announced, We were happy if cautious. The sun rises and sets with our son. We wanted to suss them out and hoped we would have a chance to do it before they took over. Weeks before the new owners took over they were there available to talk to and discuss how they would be running the daycare. I found them to be super personable and I noticed that my son really liked them too. I also am a stickler for "The rules" aka the standard regulations and they are too. They officially took over on October 1...and it was like going from Black and White to an HDTV or when you see a movie in IMAX and they play the sound differences. (I can remember telling my wife it reminded me of when Dorothy pushes open the door after she lands in Oz and the movie goes for black and white to color) Immediately you noticed the difference. Proactive owners means proactive directors which means proactive staff. My son is happier than he was before (and I think everyone there knows he's a pretty happy kid baseline). he loves the owners and center director. The rooms are great and there is just a much more fun vibe there. (In our case a shout out also has to go to Ms Emily, our son's teacher, who is just awesome!) Look, we all HAVE to send our kids to daycare. With that in mind, the goal should then be to find a place you WANT to send your child. Children's Early Learning Center of Danvers is a place where you WANT to send you son or daughter.
