I've once again managed to hurt myself, and have a slipped disc, intense sciatic nerve pain and just wickedly tight and cramping calves. I needed some relief, and when a friend recommended Ryan (who had a last minute opening), I jumped on the opportunity. I arrived at his studio where we discussed my trouble areas, expectations and wants. He's incredibly communicative and in no time I was getting exactly the massage I wanted and needed. Usually when I get a massage, it's not for relaxation but rather it's to address a specific ache or pain. I want a massage therapist who is willing and capable of being incredibly firm and zeroing in on my knots and other problem areas. This describes Ryan to a T. He's skilled and strong, and soon enough he had me teetering on that line between pleasure and pain. I was definitely getting my money's worth. This isn't a spa. While you're in a private space with calming music and the such, there aren't a lot of bells and whistles. No aromatherapy. No scrubs. No hot stones. Just a strong dude who is very skilled at his profession. I can't wait to go back.
