I needed a flat tire fixed while stuck on I5. The technician who came out was very friendly. Mid way thru him putting my spare on he discovered he used the wrong lug nuts. He assured me it was fine to drive home but advised me to drive very slow. I'm a single mother with 2 children and was stuck on the side of the freeway, I trusted what this technician said. The very next day I took my car in to have the flat repaired. The shop that was going to do the repairs said whomever changed my flat damaged my wheel. I had no car as the repair shop advised me to contact the tow company because they'd need to pay for the repairs. I contacted A Better Towing and shared with them the information on damages and I let them know I needed a rental car. I spoke with Scott. I never received any phone calls back, I had to hound these people. No one had answers and I never got a rental. I was without a car for 2 weeks. A Better Tow definitely does not live up to its name. Unfortunately I had no choice over which tow company to use because Honda called this company to tow my vehicle under warranty. John was my driver and I found him to be very unprofessional. Instead of focusing on the job at hand and getting my vehicle to the dealer in the timely manner, he was preaching on and on about his book, religion, racist ideologies, and other topics that are inappropriate in a professional setting. He was also asking personal questions of me and my friend "for his book". I'm convinced that a certain type of predatory person takes jobs like this so they can hold you hostage forcing you to listen to whatever BS, when all you want is to get your car towed in one piece. I also made it clear the car was not drivable, but John insisted on driving it onto the truck bed instead of pulling it up with the chain and insisted he knew what the problem was. He did not in fact know what the problem was because the dealership diagnosed the car with a catastrophic engine failure and replaced the entire engine assembly. I hope A Better Tow has a conversation with John about keeping his conversations respectful and professional and do the job he's getting paid to do instead of wasting everyone's time. It's clear this guy does not have respect for other people and think he knows everything. A Better Tow should watch out, because it's very likely this guy will damage someone else's car or pursue a lawsuit against this company for his behavior. read more

They held my vehicle hostage for 2 days and provided inaccurate information and were dishonest and rude. I had my vehicle towed via my roadside assistance program through Mercedes early in a Sunday morning, dealership was closed so they placed it in their storage. next morning contacted the company spoke with "Misty" at 0800. she told me my vehicle had been scheduled to be towed to the dealership within the next 3 hours. I have gps/lojack installed on my vehicle so I see exact location of my car in real time. vehicle never moved. I called "Misty" again and she told me whoops sorry your insurance needs to pay us before we can release your car. never was that explained to me. I proceeded to call Mercedes roadside assistance again and they contacted them and were dishonest telling them it was going to be delivered within 2-3 hours again and they never did. I called back a better towing company to speak with misty was told she wasn't available left a message she never called me back. I called again and a woman with a strong accent very hard to understand on the phone told me all drivers were "busy" and it going to be a while before they get to it. All the time I'm being updated by Mercedes telling me they were told by the company my vehicle was already in route. Totally dishonest!! Worst experience ever just to get my vehicle to the dealership. Each time I tried to call, I was repeatedly dismissed and given lies of information. Even now still looking at my vehicle location, still sitting in the storage lot as of 11:15am Already on day 3 Tuesday morning. Company told Mercedes and myself car is enroute. Her car would be going to Chehalis Auto, who referred us to "A Better Towing Company"...Saturday night, after hours and Nathan leaves right away without fully solving the insurance aspect on the two hour trip one way! An hour into his trip, he gets a call from me saying problem might be solved. He says he will not charge since a service was not rendered BUT even offers to wait and follow us home when we get to Glenoma! Wow! Used my USAA roadside assistance, the first tow company they dispatched said 90 minutes, 2 hours later they said 34 minutes, 34 minutes later they said 32 minutes. Cancelled them and got a new dispatch-A better towing was sent. They said 90 minutes, within that time I got a call from the driver, John, said he would be there in 22 minutes, and he was. He was professional, friendly, and pointed out other issues with my car. He called once he dropped off my car to let me know it arrived safely at the dealer. Joe was fantastic: smart, friendly, fast, knew exactly what he was doing. Our car's computer brain immobilized the car's function, but Joe creatively figured out how to get it into neutral (quite the trick) and then (in a very tight space that didn't allow for good alignment between the tow truck and the car) made pivots, shifts and adjustments to get the car to load perfectly straight.
