Working with Steven as attorney/mediator during our separation was one of the best decisions I could have made. From the very beginning, he created a calm, respectful environment where both my husband and I felt heard and understood. His ability to remain neutral while still guiding us toward fair and practical solutions made a difficult process so much more manageable. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the legal aspects of separation agreements, but what truly stood out was his patience and empathy. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answer questions thoroughly, and ensure that we both felt comfortable with each step along the way. Thanks to his professionalism and steady guidance, we were able to reach an agreement that felt balanced and thoughtful without unnecessary conflict. I'm truly grateful for his support and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a compassionate and effective mediator during a challenging time. read more

My spouse and I hired Steve Menack to handle our legal separation after years of putting it off. When we were finally ready, we had specific conditions: someone certified in both NY and NJ, someone who could help us navigate complex retirement regulations, and someone we could see virtually for our mediation sessions. In addition to all this, Mr. Menack has been knowledgeable, readily available, impartial, compassionate and professional. We are also impressed with his education and experience, especially his early work training other attorneys to become mediators, and his leadership in various prestigious mediation associations. When it comes time to change our legal separation into a divorce, we will be sure to hire Mr. Menack again, and would confidently refer him to couples looking for a kind, knowledgeable mediator. read more

Service was truly excellent especially during my high conflict divorce. Steve made the process very simple and easy to complete and was even kind enough to adjust pricing for us at times. We greatly appreciated his ability to remain impartial and guide us towards the best solutions for us and our family even through times as difficult as divorce. read more

Steve went above and beyond bringing our mediation to a quick resolution. His years of experience in many different avenues certainly helped answer/resolve issues that came up in the course of the process and made things go a lot smoother than a less professionally qualified mediator would have let it. Highly recommended! read more

We are just about finishing up with Steve for mediation and his help, knowledge and compassion has been a great help in this process.

Worked with Steve through mediation with my spouse. He was professional yet personal and explained the process and steps clearly and thoroughly. With going through such a tough time I am grateful he made this difficult process so simple. His pricing is fair and he did draw things out to rack up the bill (as I heard some bad stories for other mediators). I absolutely recommend. read more

Do not use this lawyer, he drags on, hours of wasted time, has not provided a single document, still changed around $10,000. He is just a waste. read more

Steve was very helpful to show us how to relate more amicably and positively with each other

I cannot begin to explain my appreciation to this gentleman. Not only does he know the law but was able to mediate a divorce that would have required two lawyers and much more time and money. He simplified difficult material and at the same time was professional, kind, organized and timely. I have since referred him to others who have also used him and share the same positive feelings about their experience. I do not feel as if I can recommend him as highly as I feel with words. I am forever grateful for my decision to use him with my divorce mediation and I will continue to recommend him to others. I thank him and his staff and feel that he was fair and a very genuine and kind gentleman. read more

Mr. Menack did an outstanding job. We all know divorce and separation is not an easy process. Mr. Menack made me feel comfortable and explained the process every step of the way, he was fair and transparent was clear about expectations during a difficult period of my life which I was clueless about. He also, was very kind and extended some discounts to help me given my circumstances. during this process there was some delays due to some clerical errors by the court and he took it upon himself to personally contact the Judge in order to have the judgement expedited and finalized. I would most definitely recommend Mr Menack without reservations. read more

New business name, same guy - Steven Menack. Do not use this mediator! He is terrible - he will keep you talking about unimportant things to run up the clock, he will nickel and dime you for everything. I was warned against using him but didn't listen, wasted a lot of money and ended up finalizing everything with a different mediator who was honest and fair. Run don't walk away!! read more

If I could give this mediator zero stars I would. He tells you things will be settled in a timely fashion and at a lesser cost then using separate attorneys for your divorce. That is actually opposite of what he does. The divorce still took an entire year and cost us 20,000.00 dollars, and come to find out years later, after seeking another attorney to help sort out the mess he made. It will cost me another 10,000.00. The other attorney advised me to just leave well enough alone, that it was not worth spending the additional. Needless to say nothing in his 1,000 page settlement agreement makes any sense and it left a lot of unanswered questions. Now to make things right I would have to spend a lot more money. So do yourselves a favor and get separate lawyers. Also he had a separate yelp account which now is gone, with all terrible reviews. I wish I would have seen it sooner. read more
