The designer had great ideas, was able to re-use boulders and sheet rock that we already had, maximize supplies, work around our trees, and ultimately created something completely new, low maintenance, clean looking, and beautiful! Apparently they were too busy to call back, yet they advertised regularly about their services. John never returned a single phone message. I had about $20K of work to be done and really wanted a smaller business to do it rather than a larger business that would then subcontract the work and not take pride it the finished project. In my final message to John I advised the work was not urgent but I would appreciate a response just letting me know if he was going to have the time later in the year. All I heard was crickets. So I farmed the work out in bits and pieces to different workers and about 75% has been completed. I am still looking for somebody to call when we need sprinklers and yard work done on 3 properties we have. Any suggestions? I can be flexible if the owner returns messages.

I would consider ourselves (my husband and myself) to be extremely knowledgeable in home renovations, and both of us are perfectionists to an extent. Even so, we wanted to leave the stacked stone project to professionals, and Sundance Masonry employs true professionals. As the person who was home while they installed the stacked stone, I noticed how they used both digital and regular levels during the stone installation to ensure that nothing turned out lop-sided or slanted during the process. (Unfortunately, there are too many "professionals" who don't seem to understand the importance of using a level during installations.). Additionally, we were impressed that Dimas and his crew went to extensive measures to protect our existing floors, some of which had just been refinished, by putting down plastic, tarps, and plywood to protect them during the installation process. All of them were extremely careful to avoid bumping into our freshly-painted walls with their scaffolding as they brought it in as they were ready to begin the project AND when they carried it back out upon completing the project. Although there was some dusting/cleaning that needed to be done when they had finished (one can imagine that this type of work does create a bit of a mess), the crew did an outstanding job cleaning up after themselves. Their price point was extremely reasonable, and I will definitely hire them again for any masonry projects we decide to pursue in the future! I love, love, love the end result! My home already exudes an upscale vibe that it didn't quite embody prior to this project. Sundance Masonry is now my go-to business for any projects I may want in the future!

Our front yard is very small and we have an even smaller patch of turf that we wanted some help mowing/fertilizing. I was satisfied with their pricing structure but for the fact that they wanted to charge an insanely high hourly rate for hand pulling weeds. I called to talk to them about this and to point out that there weren't many weeds that were grown but a lot of fledgling weeds which was the whole reason we needed the help (we handpick / dig up more mature weeds all the time). We reached an agreement we were comfortable with and then when they sent us an upgraded bid, they still had a crazy high amount baked into the bid for handpicking weeds. I called to ask if they could get an eyes on the property before we approved that high amount (as I was comfortable with them spraying instead of handpicking) and they said they didn't have time to send anyone out and that the height of the weed will determine whether they spray or handpick, then they told me we could handpick the weeds that were taller ourselves if we wanted to, which was pretty upsetting. I felt very nickle and dimed by these folks given that our yard is not very big and the cost including the handpicking was the highest bid we received by far. We wanted to work with them but they were so concerned about a team of landscapers having to pick maybe 5-6 weeds, they set a very high price. I even sent them a picture of the yard and they even agreed there arent many weeds but still insisted on the high handpicking charge. Very disappointed.
