I did not go through a roofers claim and had already paid them a deposit via check without incident this is my first home, and everything what disorganized, not explained clearly, and when things were it was usually by people who clearly arent thrilled by their jobs (as if they are the ones paying for the roof). The roofers completed the job in a day. Despite tornado watch and rain conditions, chimney was successfully completely in a day. The director of operations Samantha K. And her subordinate Jenna, and their attitudes, were absolutely horrendous to deal with-- arrogant, bad tone, and aggressive. Now I see what the previous clients meant by their unprofessionalism, entitlement, and callous demeanor as a result, I wouldn't recommend this company to a dog flea, and would encourage others to not only get quotes from other companies, but to read all of the numerous negative reviews they have received across multiple platforms. Their site manager Jacob, was nice but lost in the sauce. After letting Samantha know Jacob had never sent the photos or reached out she insinuated I might have had his number blocked which was totally false since I have an open line of communication not only for the roofing team but also for other contractos (unrelated) doing upgrades on my home, she covered for the poor behaviors of both parties, and Jenna's terrible disposition, until she finally ran out of excuses, relented, and gave a real pathetic apology. moment she answered the phone. Her tone was dismissive, impatient, and honestly made it seem like customers were an inconvenience. All in all If this is how they treat PAYING customers I can only imagine how problems are handled after payment is made. Customer service reflects the company as a whole, and this interaction with these two women was enough for me to take my business elsewhere and ensure than any of my friends, family members, colleagues, strangers and literally anyone knows I would not recommend dealing with a company that allows this level of disrespect toward customers.

The owner agreed to replace the roof at no additional cost to me and included a silicone sealant as a layer of protection. It has continued to leak every few months in new locations. The owner refuses to acknowledge WHY a brand new roof continues to leak, yet makes excuses that it was due to hurricane damage (there was little rain during the recent hurricanes and no trees lie above this particular roof to cause damage). That is how I found Larry Miller Roofing. Frank got back with me within minutes of my text (even though it was before their posted hours). He got Alex and another great worker to our home within a couple of hours, fixed up what needed to in order to stop that leak, and it gave us the peace of mind that we could leave town without our home being damaged. The guys found the source of the problem and pointed out some other problematic areas where we might need assistance in the future. Trey arrived to my home at the allotted appointment time with an estimate and explained every layer that would be applied, why they are better than some of their competitors, and the 3 plans they offer. We selected the middle plan as it fit our budget the best and still had some of the bells and whistles from plan C. Trey was very helpful with selecting the color and sent me photos of homes they had completed. Something that makes Walsh standout compared to other companies that came to give an estimate is that they work with many different brands of shingles and they recommend which ones work best for you and your environmental situation. We chose Majestic Shake by Pinnacle Pristine. The colors worked perfectly with our home and the stone accents. The job itself was completed in 2 days. They used a dump truck on wheels so we had no damage to our driveway. Clean up was done very well, minus the fact that the crew forgot to tarp our pool and we had some cleaning up to do in the pool. They offer FINACING, accept all major credit cards, use their own workers and I love the GAF Silver Pledge warranty they offer.

In any event, warranty or not I think the images and the fact that multiple areas of water intrusion are occurring within two years of installation speaks clearly about the craftsmanship provided by this company. Perhaps they sent the "B Team" because they knew the house was on the market when they installed the roof and they would wash their hands of the lack of quality upon sale? Pretty wild. And just for the record, I'm a lifelong Florida resident who is quite aware of the weather the roof has been exposed to. Absolutely no weather-related damage occurred...these were installation defects as pictured. Wind and rain didn't leave a litany of exposed nails. That's craftsmanship, or more accurately lack of craftsmanship that has been compounded by lack of accountability. You're correct though, Nobody wants to work for free. That's why people strive to provide quality the first time and if a mistake or oversight occurs, they make good on their obligation to provide a quality product. Your family owned business is harmed not by 1 star reviews. It is harmed by 2 year old roofs you install springing multiple leaks. And I haven't taken the time to leave this review with the hope you'd make good on your obligation. I'm writing this so families are aware when spending 10's of thousands of dollars that they can reasonably expect two problem free years before multiple areas begin leaking. Maybe they'll even be lucky and the warranty expectation will be honored and they'll get to play whack-a-mole with roof repairs until they give up and pay 10s of thousands of dollars more for a complete reroof. What a headache. If you see a red truck, you may just be outta luck. Read the (up until this point nonexistent) fine print!
