After our initial consultation with Kimmylea, we decided to go with the Something Blue package since we were early on in the planning process. With this package we planned alongside Kimmylea and got the day-of coordination. She helped us every step of the way keeping us on track with booking vendors and even recommending vendors as well. Kimmylea was so easy to get into contact with. She always responded in a timely manner and we had several meetings along the way as well which helped us feel prepared. The wedding day was stress-free for my husband and I and our whole family. Kimmylea and Beau set up everything and tore down which was so nice to not have our families worry about. At the end of the night I found out our venue's security guard never showed up and they wouldn't be able to serve alcohol without one. Luckily Beau was able to fill that role due to his occupation. I'm not sure what would have happened if Kimmylea and Beau weren't there, but I'm glad I'll never have to find out. Kimmylea also stepped up when I was feeling uneasy about a last minute DJ switch. The altar having a fountain behind it is an absolutely stunning detail for the ceremony. The white stone wall by the outdoor tables made for an incredible background for pictures and made me feel like I was in Greece instead of Iowa. The rolling fields around the venue are beautiful for family/wedding party photos. The grand staircase is a classy touch and made for fun entrances by the wedding party. The chandeliers are a gorgeous detail that tied the whole reception area together. This was hands-down the absolute BEST vendor we selected for our wedding. Never once regretted…read morehiring Matthew as our wedding photographer. We were incredibly picky when it came to photographers. We met with several before landing on Matt. We really liked the photojournalistic style, but not the price that came along with photojournalists. Matt was the best of both worlds. His portfolio had some really great candid photos that caught our attention. He was also one of the very few, if not the only wedding photographer we met with, that was flexible on custom tailoring a package to suit our particular wants and needs. Compared to other photographers with the same level of talent, Matthew has got to be the most reasonably priced that there is. The turnaround time to get our photos after the wedding was also incredible. We got a sneak preview of 30+ photos just 3 days after the wedding. Beyond that, the full 1,000 photos from the wedding were edited and available for viewing not more than a week after the wedding day. I wouldn't expect this to be the norm, because we were anticipating more like a 3 - 4 week turnaround, but we were definitely pleasantly surprised. We really wanted to make sure that all aspects of our wedding were captured, so we opted to add a second photographer to our package. The second photographer that Matt brought along, Sabrina, was also really great to work with. The best part about working with Matt was his energetic, infectious attitude. In our meetings before the wedding when chatting about the places we wanted to take photos and the styles we had in mind, he was very peppy and positive. He offered up suggestions when we needed them and noted our preferences when we had specific requests. This upbeat attitude continued throughout the full 8 hours plus that he was with us on our wedding day. He not only worked really well with the pre-planned elements, but also saw opportunities along the way for on the fly photo opps which were some of the funnest shots in the bunch.
