They were not pushy and did not try to up sell on anything which I really appreciate. Very respectful of me,my dog and my property. They cleaned up the work areas very well. I highly recommend them. Also Trish & Gayle in the office were very nice helping me to get scheduled for my appointments even when I didn't know the technical terms for things I needed done. I will be using this company again in the future for my plumbing needs. Plus their prices were actually reasonable compared to other companies. Not a fan of the "big name" no heart companies out there. The first time was to snake a bathroom drain. Not very exciting but they did a great job and cleaned up after. You would never have know they were there. 2nd call was because after receiving a very high water bill it was discovered I had a running toilet. I called just after my basement flooded with over 12" of water and the woman who I spoke with (Donna) could not have been more wonderful. Not only could they install a new toilet (to replace my ancient one) they brought one to me to save me the hassle of figuring out how I was going to get it to my house in my small car. To add to my amazing experience I found out the day before they were to come out, the city was doing work on the water lines and was going to shut off the water. Five years later, we learned why we shouldn't have done that. Every so often, the trap joint would slip loose and water would fly out from underneath the sink. A hurried clean-up would ensue and I would find myself under the sink tightening joints. Four or so of those spills later, I succumbed to my better sense - I called a plumber. I filled out the form on Roto-Rooter's site yesterday. This morning, they called. The dispatcher informed me that Steve would be coming by in about an hour. She let me know that he would provide an estimate and that I could refuse if I didn't like it. I felt comforted. I've never liked technicians coming over without a clear understanding of the process - I don't want to be on the hook for something I didn't order. Steve showed up, a cheery and kind man. I showed him the underside of the sink and he diagnosed the problem in about 4 seconds. I had the trap backward. Basically, the dispose-all would shake the trap loose when we turned it on. He felt bad, he said, because it was such a simple fix and he would have to charge me something. He said that their bare-minimum charge was $125. I said it was worth every penny. About 10 minutes later, he had the pipes all fixed up. It was significantly simpler than the Rube Goldberg style plumbing I had done. I had used one of those under-drain kits and used my best Lego-building skills to install it. We tested the sinks out a few times and everything worked perfectly - way better than before. I would recommend Steve and Roto-Rooter any day. Thanks!

It seems like their goal is to sell you on getting very expensive work done with them on their financing plans. We called to get a drain snaked and in a couple hours they were trying to get me to sign something to get 11 thousand dollars of work done! What's worse they were kind of strong arming me into saying it absolutely had to be done now and things couldn't be left as they were. The only reason I'm not giving them a one star review is I'm giving them some benefit of the doubt that it wasn't a scam and that stuff really does have to be done. They asked me a few questions about what kind of service I needed, told me the estimate was free and we were off. They set up a time at my convience. The day of my appointment, they called and texted me about 15 minutes before they arrived. In The text they gave me the technicians name and a little background on him. His picture also. Dylan arrived on time he looked very professional, was courteous and seemed very knowledgeable. He assessed the task and gave me an estimate in about ten minutes after he arrived. It took him about an hour or so to install my new toilet ( that I had already purchased before hand). The work was A1. Cleaned up after the work was done and took the old toilet with him also. As far as the value that I paid for the service, which I thought to be a little pricey, it was fair I guess. I would definitely use 1-800Plumber + Air again and would request Dylan to be my tech.
